Re: Documents for Naturalisation

When me and my wife applied - we both submitted p60's for the full years of employment and payslips (few of them) for the current year. I do realise it is better to please them - so I always did submit more documents than necessary and it did pay me well (PR within less than a month last year). Good...

Re: Application through NCS

Hi. I can see noone is answering so I'll give you a little advice. Try calling 0300 123 2253 (Home office application helpline) and if you do - call them - ask your all questions and after finishing - call them again and ask the same questions and compare the answers. It sounds silly - but believe m...

Re: Opening a bank account

Are you registered on electoral roll? (voter's register)? This helps a lot with opening Nationwide Building Society current account. Me personally - after this check - they didn't ask for my ID as the address did match the electoral roll. But every other case of opening a current account - they alwa...

Re: Old bank statements needed for PR how I get?

I got employment history from hmrc within 1 week. My friend wanted to do the same and they said he needs to apply for this kind of document by email (I don't know what is the address) and he recieved it within a month.
Just give them a call (tax helpline)
Good luck

Re: Private Health Insurance for PR

This is almost identical to the case I am helping with just now. I called EEA applications helpline 2 hours ago (0300 123 2253) - and they told me that in this case - you will not get permanent residence. You needed Compulsory Health insurance as your husband cannot be your sponsor. I do realise it ...

Re: Opening bank account while waiting for a resident card - EEA2

Did you try to convert your husband's sole account to joint account (for both of you)? Maybe this will be easier. In Scotland where I live - Bank of Scotland is the easiest in such cases - but there is a different approach of EVERY branch - for example - in Airdrie they will refuse and in Coatbridge...

EEA not working spouse of EEA Naturalised husband

Hi. I am looking for clarification if my understanding of our friend's situation is correct. She came to uk 3 years ago, she is EEA(Polish) and she never worked or studied here. She married Polish man (EEA) - but he was naturalised 5 years ago. (When she married him - he was already British). My und...

Re: Proof of residency: EEA self-sufficient national naturalisation

I would recommend calling 0300 123 2253 - did you try this? This is the application's helpline (choose nationality and then specific question enquiry - sth like this) and I believe they should know this and help you. Sadly they sometimes are not sure - so I'd call twice with the same question and I'...

Re: child was born in Belfast, Irish/British nationality

Correct me if I am wrong please:

Do you ask if:
your child has a right to a citizenship of a country it does not live nor was born in???

with this kind of logic - every mexican would have a right to get american (USA) passport as they are living on north american continent

Re: Proof of residence for EEA Naturalisation

The good thing this time is - if you'll use NCS the only original they'll post is the proof of life in the uk test pass. The rest of the documents will be copied and originals will be returned to you at the point of the appointment. It does cost a bit - but it was much safer for me. I find it funny ...

Re: Enrolling biometrics of a minor

I will give you a little advice. Make a small booth-like room at home and start playing with your child a little game. Try to pretend to "make photos" and reward him if he stands properly - encourage him with whatever he likes - like sweeties or whatever. Then when you go to post office - he/she wil...

Re: Proof of residence for EEA Naturalisation

Hi.
I got naturalised 2 months ago.
I did submit proof of residence here for the past 5 years before application. I did submit p60's for 5 years and additionally few payslips for the current year.
You are correct that the reason for submitting this is that our passports aren't stamped.

Good luck

Re: Naturalization of a child born in UK - MN1 or T form ?

It doesn't matter. You'll just need different documents - when you're British - you'll need your naturalisation certificate, if before - you'll need your proof of settlement (Permanent Residency or Biometric Residence Card)

The whole process is extremely interresting for me anyway. Forgive me that I do add this here but I am wondering for real what kind of checks do they run anyway for a 2 year old child. As you have menitoned - they did run something for few months during MN1 checks for a small child!!! What can you p...

Re: Naturalization of a child born in UK - MN1 or T form ?

Hi. 1) you cannot naturalise a child - children are being registered not naturalised 2)if a child was born in the UK and at least one of the parents have settled in the UK - you can apply for a registration of a child using form MN1 This is what I've done with my 2 sons in similar situation but they...

I can assure you that speeding it's not a criminal offence. You will have to definitely disclose this offence in year application and you have to pay your fine in time so it wouldn't be taken to the court.
