Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

Hi - We sent the signed declaration along with the requested info to the citizenship dept 6 weeks ago but haven't received the naturalization certificate yet. We will probably check in with the department next week as they advised that it could take up to 6 weeks to get the certificate. But I was j...

Thank you for your responses. Its good to know that we are not the only ones waiting for the 6 weeks. I'll probably follow-up by the end of next week but hoping that the certificate comes through before then!

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

This is as strange as it can get. Do you mean that you got few 'Your application continues to be processed' mails whereas the application might actually be approved ? If the letter can be lost, application reference number can be incorrect, what good an email id is to them ? Don't want to miss few ...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

I don't know and don't want to create any rumor about new approvals. I was just answering the above person's question on the contents of the email received. To avoid any confusion, It will be better to also inform if you had got the approval letter any time prior to receiving this affidavit email a...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

Waiting for 3 years now on processing of citizenship for my wife. We consulted a lawyer last year who sent a letter on our behalf which was responded to by the department just before the pandemic hit last year. The letter noted that the application was being prepared for submission to the minister, ...

Re: Next Ceremony

Has anyone received or heard of anyone else receiving approvals recently? I haven't heard of any approvals since the few that came in early October but wondering if anyone else has any updates and whether its worth checking with the citizenship department for our application?

Re: Next Ceremony

Update on website: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/applications-approved-and-citizenship-ceremony/ COVID-19 has unfortunately prevented the holding of our large scale citizenship ceremonies which is impacting the processing of applications. Re: Next Ceremony

I wouldn't be surprised if approvals stop again due to the new COVID restrictions. After a few approvals last week, nobody else seems to have posted about approvals this week and no news of the ceremony. Of course, there might be people who got approvals and are not on these boards so if anyone has ...

Yes, seems like good news and this person's application has been approved in less than a year. My wife is now closing in on 3 years waiting for her approval so we are really hoping that she gets her approval now irrespective of when the next ceremony will be!
