Re: UK 10 Year Standard Visitor Visa - second application

So to update everyone on this, we did get the 10yrs visa after a single, six months visa application. Not sure if this proves a point as such, but it definitely confirms that there's no rule against getting a 10yrs visa after a single six months visa

Re: Visit visa refusal by email

So we collected the passport today and visa granted (whoop whoop). Not sure if confirms a 'policy/practice' but seems to be consistent with the pattern that if visa granted, you only get passport collection email.

Visit visa refusal by email

Hi all, I was wondering if others would be willing to share their experience with receiving refusal via email for visit visa if they applied in Pakistan? We applied for my parents in Pakistan and we today received an email from VFS saying our passports are ready for collection. We did not receive ...

UK 10 Year Standard Visitor Visa - second application

Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the summer! So I have applied for my parents' visit visa under standard visitor route. They have been to the UK once before on a six months visa. I know this is a risky move but I can't see anything in immigration rules that says you cannot apply ...

Re: Visit Visa for Mother - 10 years term

Hi mate, Good luck with the application. I am contemplating applying for a 10yrs visa for my parents as well. They have only visited once (and we had to go through PAP for approval!). Wondering if I should apply for 10yrs now or should I build up some 'track record' for them (consensus seems to be ...

Re: Address on NICOP is different for me and my child

Hey

From personal experience, they hardly ever check the address on NICOP. On mine (British citizen living in the UK), I have a Pakistan address (and yes, it is a NICOP)! So it is unlikely to be an issue in my experience.

Re: Pre action protocol - two applicants

Hey You can download the pro forma from the UK gov website for submission of PAP. It can be emailed I believe. As for the filling, it is a case of going through questions on PAP, and then adding mitigation to the reasons for refusal. If you look at posts by other people (including earlier in this ...

Re: Visit Visa UK Embassy Email - Your UK visa application has been issued

As per the experience of few members the word "issued" represent positive decision. But still nothing can be said until collecting the passport because generic templates may reveal something otherwise. Thank you for your reply I will update once I receive my passport back. Hey, keen to know as/when ...

Re: Visit Visa UK Embassy Email - Your UK visa application has been issued

Hi all Just checking again to see if anyone has recently applied from Lahore, Pakistan? Re: Pre action protocol - two applicants

in my parents' case it was just under two months (reconsideration email received on 16 June, asked for additional documents on 12 August). Although that was during Covid so not sure what the timeline would be now.

Best of luck!

Re: UK Standard Visitor visa refused for my dad

Hi mate, I can imagine how disappointing this can be (when you want family to visit but they can't because of lack of clarity of visa rules); I went through similar timeline (refused once in 2018, applied again, refused again). As THO suggests, we went for PAP and managed to get the decisions ...

Re: Pre action protocol - two applicants

Ah right, it seems it is the Abu Dhabi team that is being the bottleneck in all cases. we would've expected the passports back by now (given it has been over two weeks) but no update yet. Will keep in mind the follow up point. Do you just reply back to their email to follow up or is there a ...
