He will continue to require a visa until he has been granted British citizenship if his current nationality requires a visa to enter a particular country.
Unless it’s an article 10 Residence card issued under SS route.

Re: is hotel address ok for eea family permit to uk?

Yes and yes, better if you attach a cover letter so on the FP they can print “to join” and not “to accompany”. It’s pretty much the same but if you reach the border without your EEA partner they can question you.

Re: Non EU citizen Refused Bording flight to Budapest via Zürich from LHR while traveling with EU citizen spouse

Switzerland does not recognize Residence card for family member issued by the UK so a non EEA citizen can not enter Switzerland without a visa even with a Residence card. Yours was NOT an airport “transit” because Zurich would have been your entry port in the Schengen Area.

As a student if you are not holding a CSI you are NOT a qualified person so your spouse’s residence card should not be valid anymore.

Germany is one of the trickiest ones, although most of the consulates do go with whatever days the trip(flights etc) planned looks like regardless of what you put on the form the number of days you would like. It had happened to my friends too and got exactly 9 or 10 days of visa. If it is German c...

Re: Schengen Visa 9 days only

Was this application for an EU family visa? With EU/EEA/Family visas, if travelling together (as you should), they (immigration control) can not cause trouble when leaving the country due to over-stay of visa. Those who need visas (your spouse / dependant family) technically only need it for entry ...

Re: Schengen Visa 9 days only

What did you put in your application form in terms of number of days requested? Maybe they just complied with that. Also it might be because perhaps it's a accompanying child, a first time schengen visa, etc. It should be fine if it is in line with your travel plans. Actually I don't remember what ...
