Re: IHS for Tier 2 Dependant - main applicant has ILR

Hi All, I'm surprised that no one else seems to have had this issue (I searched quite a while but I couldn't find a similar issue on this foroum). Anyways, any help is much appreciated as I am at the last stage of my application but I cannot seem to find the correct option to choose for my husband's...

IHS for Tier 2 Dependant - main applicant has ILR

Dear All, My husband had a Tier 2 visa and got ILR last year. I don't qualify for ILR yet so I am applying for a Tier 2 Dependant extension. Firstly, is this the correct route? Then again when trying to pay the IHS, I'm being asked for information about "The person you're joining or remaining with" ...

They should grant three years.
Thanks for your reply.
So what dates should I put for the "work end date" and "visa expiry date"?

IHS for Tier 2 Dependant where the main applicant has now an ILR

Hi All, My husband had a Tier 2 visa and got his ILR in 02/2020. His ILR is valid until 12/2024. I have a Tier 2 Dependant visa valid from 10/2017 to 4/2021 and therefore I am trying to extend my visa. I have spent a long time out of the UK and I cannot apply for ILR myself any time soon. When tryin...

Medical treatment in the UK

Hi All, I am trying to extend my Tier 2 Dependant visa. My husband recently got ILR. One of the questions asks "Have you ever been given medical treatment in the UK?". Is this normal?! Or maybe I'm in a wrong place for my application?! In any case, I have visited GPs multiple times and I have no rec...

Entry clearance being issued / Visa valid from date

Hi All, I'm on a Tier 2 visa and want to apply for ILR. I have seen on Home Office's guideline document and in this forum that one can apply within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the initial visa issue date. My question is where can I find this visa ISSUE date? I don't have any letters that t...

ILR application- Annual leave and weekends

Hi All, I understand that the total duration of annual leave should not be more than 30 days each year (please correct me if I'm wrong). For calculating annual leave, do they count weekends and bank holidays as well? For example, if someone exits the UK on Friday 07/02/2020 and return on Friday 14/0...

Re: Absences that are partly for annual leave, partly for business

You are overthinking this. It does not matter what you did outside the UK in each period. Each period of absence simply should be approved by your employer. There is no need for them to explain what you did Thanks. I think I perhaps omitted some important information- apologies. I am doing this bec...

Absences that are partly for annual leave, partly for business

Hi All, I have a Tier 2 General visa, working in a university and I want to apply for ILR. In the past 5 years, there are periods that I have exited the UK for example for one month; spent half of that on research/conferences/other university businesses, and the other half as annual leave. How can t...

Re: Big changes to continuous residence rule for ILR applicants under PBS

Hi All, I and my wife are in a similar situation and will appreciate some help. My wife is on a Tier 2 dependant visa. She got her visa in September 2017 and came to the UK in October 2017. Her visa is valid until April 2021, so she needs to apply for an extension for 1.5 years in 2021 (I will hope...

Date of translation of the documents

Hi All,

We are applying to bring my wife to the UK. We have married last year, and subsequently we translated the marriage certificate last January. Do we need a recent translation? Or can we use this almost one-year old translation as part of our documents?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: Document checklist for Tier 2 dependent

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
I think I should have mentioned that my wife has never been in the UK and this is the first time she is applying for the visa. Are the Rental agreement (which is solely in my name) and the Council tax bill still needed in this case?

Thanks

Document checklist for Tier 2 dependent

Hi all, I am currently living in the UK, and we are applying for a visa for my wife. We have completed the online application form and paid the fees on Visa4UK, but at no point we were given a document checklist. We have the appointment in a few days, but we don't know what documents we need to prov...

Need help- Job start date already passed

Hi All, I think I really messed up this time. I applied from UK as I found a new job with the same employer and my visa was expiring anyways (valid until 29 July). I messed up by not choosing priority or premium service (I know :( that was really dumb) and I applied using standard service at 7th Jun...
