Passport received, supporting documents still AWOL?

Hi all!

I've applied for the passport, which took around 6 weeks to receive from the time I first applied, but no word yet from the supporting documents I sent (including my other passport).

Is this normal? Are they taking longer to send back the supporting documents?

Travel whilst waiting settlement scheme decision

Hi! Does anyone have any information around if it’s ok to travel whilst waiting a decision for the settlement scheme? Particularly from next month. We have a baby and because it took us ages to get a passport during the pandemic we only now were able to make her application. She’s an EU citizen born...

Re: Baby under 1 also need referee?

On a slightly different note, if for the reasons outlined above I'll just use referees as the normal adult application. So if I'm applying for citizenship along with my kid, can we just use the same referees then?

Baby under 1 also need referee?

Hi all,

For a 6 months old baby born in the UK, whose parents acquired ILR after she was born, will she also need referees for her citizenship application?

She's too young hasn't started going to nursery yet, so finding one that fits the criteria would be tricky.

Thanks.

Re: Anyone with ILR priority service delay?

Interesting. So they check with their current BRP details and then the status would reflect ILR? I just checked now and I got back my current status still, the same I got my BRP for. Either it hasn't changed, or with this BRP it will always return the status the BRP was issued for? There are other o...

Right to work website? How does that work? I thought this was something only employers could use.

Anyone with ILR priority service delay?

Hi all! Has anyone here applied for ILR using priority service, 5 working days one, and had any issues? My application should be a simple one, 5 years on a Tier 2 visa, but my 5 working days timeframe is about to elapse and I haven't heard a single thing from them. I've seen some people receive a "c...

Possible to start working before receiving BRP?

Hi all,

Once you receive your email with the decision, is that enough to prove your right to work, or do you need to wait until your BRP arrives?

Worried because I'd like to take a new job as soon as my ILR decision is out, but it seems BRPs are getting months to arrive.

Thanks,

Documents to take to UKVCAS appointment?

Hi all! When you finish the SET(O) application there’s conflicting information about which originals they will need at the appointment. It says passport and BRP on the application, but the separate document checklist says “you don’t need to send any physical documents to the home office unless advis...

Re: New rules for ILR under new skilled worker visa?

Interestingly an English language requirement has been removed as well!! When you come to think of it, why was it ever required in the first place since people already needed to prove their knowledge of English to apply for tier 2 visas. Bonkers. The "absence letters" were also nonsensical in my op...

Re: New rules for ILR under new skilled worker visa?

That's the crucial point. Will people applying from now on be under the new rules? Or the ones coming from a tier 2 will still be under the old ones? The documents seem to indicate the former, everyone is under the new rules now, but the SET(O) form hasn't changed yet to reflect that. A bit confusin...

New rules for ILR under new skilled worker visa?

Hi all! I've been reading a lot about the SET(O) route. And apparently some new guidelines have been released to amend the rules since "tier 2 general" has been superseded by the "skilled worker visa". They are: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-skilled-worker ...

Checklist / Other evidence of absence SET(O)

Hi all, In the SET(O) checklist one of the documents they say I have to provide is: "Other evidence of Mr XXXXXXs reasons for absences from the UK" I'm already providing a letter of absence from the employers I've had, containing all absences and there are just a few really, nothing over 30 days/yea...

Checklist / Other evidence of absence SET(O)

Hi, I've come across different threads and sometimes they say slightly different things. For tier 2 general, 5 years route, when the date a person entered the UK is after the date their visa was issued, for example: a) Date visa issued on BRP 31/01/16 b) Entry clearance "valid from" date on passport...

Re: A Very Silly question; what is the Date of Decision?

Just came across this want to clarify something about the qualifying date: If the two are different, which one should be used, date your visa is issued as on your BRP or the date you entered the country. Example: Date visa issued on BRP 10/jan/16 Date entered the country: 31/jan/16 Which of the two ...

One question about this though, after merging you records did you request any special letter to HMRC or did you just print the information available on the HMRC portal/app?

Settlement scheme newborn without ID

Hi all! My partner has pre settled status and we are wondering how to apply for our 2 weeks old baby as her dependent since said baby doesn’t have a passport or ID card yet. Summary: how to prove identity of a newborn? It’s unlikely we will be able to get a passport or ID card by the end of the year...

I’ve seen reports from people on Reddit that called the life in the U.K. helpline number and they were told tests will not be postponed during the November lockdown.

Please post here if you have credible information :)

On a slightly different note, has anyone heard anything about Life In The U.K. tests being suspended during lockdown starting tomorrow? I’ve got mine booked for December and am a bit worried it will get pushed back.

Who are you asking for?? Your previous posts suggest you were applying for ILR after 5 years on Tier 2 General! https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/not-getting-paid-breaks-continuous-residence-t297809.html#p1880596 You are correct, it is not for me personally.
