The original documents come with the letter advising you of the decision.

Re: Do you need to inform UKVI if you renew your passport while you have a BRP?

Hi,

Further to this I have called UKVI on two separate occasions and two separate operators have confirmed that there is no need to let them know about the renewal unless any personal details are different between the old passport and the new passport (they are not).

Do you need to inform UKVI if you renew your passport while you have a BRP?

Hi all, A simple question which frustratingly the UKVI website doesn't give an obvious answer to... Say that someone has a spousal visa, and this visa is manifested in a biometric residence permit; there's no visa vignette or any other sign of this in the person's passport. If that person's passport...

Well said, Usmanj.

I do sadly get the impression that OP is not going to heed this advice and instead is going to pursue some harebrained legal action or something.

Re: UK HOME OFFICE REQUEST FOR MORE INFO

It is lawful though, and you've had it explained exactly how. You also did not provide "exactly what they asked for" - the FM-SE rules clearly state that "All documentary evidence must be original, unless otherwise stated." and as Casa has said, an altered document is not original. It also says, for...

Re: documents to Sheffield

Yes. The documents sent need to be originals, but on the FLR(M) form at least it does say to send photocopies as well as the originals.

(I don't know why, as we received all the photocopies back as well as our original documents, but I'd do it just to be on the safe side.)

Re: UK HOME OFFICE REQUEST FOR MORE INFO

I'm not sure how there can be "many comprehensions" of what you're asked to provide, but then I also don't see how crossing out bits of an original document could be seen as a reasonable course of action, or how this falls into a different "comprehension". Me and my partner followed the guidance and...

Re: UK HOME OFFICE REQUEST FOR MORE INFO

With respect OP, the immigration rules and also the requirements for documentation set out on application forms are abundantly clear, and the issues with documentation appear to be entirely of your own making. In your case you appear to have only submitted documents you personally feel are appropria...

Re: What docs will partner get back and when?

For anyone else wondering this, I called UKVI today and asked. They said that the decision and any supporting documents will come together in the same envelope within ten working days of the decision date, and that the BRP (if issued) will be delivered within ten working days of that.

What docs will partner get back and when?

Hi, My partner's FLR(M) visa application has been decided as of the 10th. What documents can we expect back and roughly when should we expect them - in particular, what documents will come under separate cover? Obviously assuming it is approved...! The decision letter is going to be within 10wd from...

Re: Flr(FP); Suddenly my Reference number not recognised any

I've found that going back to the main visa status page and putting in the reference number manually works fine. It's only when looking at my bookmark of the status page that it doesn't work.

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Is someone able to clarify exactly what "awaiting a decision" means? I mean the explanatory page on the status checker just says "your application has been considered", so does this mean that they've done their checks and assessed the application and are now just waiting for a decision to be ratifie...

Changing banks in middle of visa application

Hi, I have (as per other posts) got a visa application going through for my partner to remain here, and I have supplied my bank statements (and payslips, etc) as evidence of my meeting the financial requirement. However I am rather sick of my current bank and want to switch. Does anyone know if it w...
