@OBIE : correct me If I'm not wrong, you are saying if Irish mrrg dissolve before 3 years, NON-EU don't have any option to secure his status?? as you said EU5 is for EUs not for Irish??

while on separation you can't do anything as per law & Rules.. you have to divorce and then need to apply for Retention of rights EU5 form. @humtumpyr123 when you gt divorced in 2017 did you applied for retention first or straight away work permit?? I didn't saw anyone with that scenario, but as per my understanding you was on EUtreatyRight before and that 7 year rule implement on persons who is under EUtreatyRight umbrella permissions....

I believe in Citzenship there are more checks/inquiries/stages..
