HSMP to Work Permit and back?

Dear friends, I apologise if I'm in the wrong place. Please advice me if I'm wrong. I'm one of those who moved from HSMP to Work Permit when the Nov. 2006 rules came and for the past one and a half years has been toiling under my Work Permit lords. They are making full use of me and they have given ...

I had asked (Feb 1) to vary my HSMP (1+ ext) to Work Permit. Following which my company applied for a Work Permit this week. But my passports are with the WP team from Feb 1 and they haven't returned it yet. I sent in the 'Request to vary application' slip back to the WP team also. Will they only re...

I believe your initial Grant was for one year. In such a case you need to prove your income against an assessment period of 8 months. You require a mnimum of 35 additional points from salary in addition to your 35 points from Masters and 5 points for your UK experience. Criteria for earning these p...

Some people (1+4 category) do not need to worry about reseting the clock this because they just lose 1 year. and in WP case you might get 5 years straight away. But people who already got 1+3 (+1 if success) will suffer the most because they will lose 4 years of their qualifying year toward 5 years...

I am in the process of shifting from HSMP to Work Permit due to lack of points  and this question is just out of curiosity. I have a Masters degree and I have been working in the same company for the past nine months. I don't get any age points too. Could someone enlighten me  as ...

I was under the impression when you move from HSMP to WP or vice-versa the ILR clock was reset?
I just moved from HSMP (after one year) to WP and I was told to slog all over again for five years.

Honestly I'm not bothered about the 'resetting of the counter'. After the latest statement from the Home Office "there is no guarantee" that anyone will receive ILR I'm not going to waste time over that. I just want to get a Work Permit and get on with life. In fact, worse comes to worse, I have a n...

Dnataraj This is what the HSMP team told me to do. Get an HSMP rejection, so your company can get a Work Permit for you. My company also told me to get this rejection "whatever that meant". They were not (and still are not) very happy about it. "If you submit your application now, during a transitio...

Dear all, I made it clear in my covering letter that I do not qualify for HSMP (no age points, salary low) - therefore kindly give me a rejection letter so that my company can proceed with a Work Permit. I submitted my HSMP Extension application on Feb 1 with eight months wages slip, bank statements...

The bank sends monthly satements (coloured). Will this suffice?

And how many months' satement has to be shown?

Is this for suppoerting salary purposes or to show there is sufficient money for expences?

I have company wage slips foe eight months. Won't that do?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

HSMP Ext Appl (for Work Permit)

Hi I've been asked by my company to get a HSMP Refusal letter so they can apply for a Work permit. Naturally I just can't stretch myself to the 75 points. I am due for extension in March, 2007 after having completed nine months with a company in the UK. (My HSMP visa was for 12 months). This will he...

I've been asked by my company to apply for an HSMP extension 'rejection' before they apply for a Work permit. I feel I do not qualify as I'm 35 years old and I've earned only £10,551 (1.e. after NI and Income tax reductions) in the past 8 months working in the UK. (It's a one-year HSMP visa) Could s...

Remittances by NRIs and others of Indian origin are one of India's highest foreign exchange earners, I've heard.

And even if it isn't, this HSMP betrayal story is any day of more significance than Shilpa Shetty and that scum Jade's fights.

Cheated - you might try speaking to a good immigration solicitor. A friend of mine thinks it's very possibly to reverse any deportation order resulting from the new rule changes. Worth a try as most solicitors will hear your case for no fee. LondonBlonde Thanks LondonBlonde, that's encouraging. I'v...
