Re: Name on Biometric wrong

Who or where do we write to for a quick reply and the correct biometrics letter please? I immediately emailed: NationalityBiometrics@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk about the error on mine which was date of birth. No response. After no response for a week, I emailed: AppointmentExceptions@homeoffice.gsi.gov....

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Dear Sir/Madam: I am concerned about the status of my naturalisation application that was sent via NCS XXXXXX 31 May, 2017 as there has not been a response as yet. Could you please let me know if any additional information is required from me in order to facilitate this process? The original biomet...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Very short and sweet...did take 8 days to get a response. This was the body of the email Dear Sir/Madam: I received an email last week that indicated that my application for naturalisation had been successful and further instructions would be sent to me via royal mail. To date I have not received a...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Luck of the draw! I applied 31 May. Still awaiting. When I contacted them a few weeks ago they said my application had been granted. It is infuriating and futile to do anything other than wait. And wait.... Hello, How did you contact them? Via an email or Phone? Can you share a bit more detail. Sor...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

I applied for the UK citizenship on 8 June this year via JCAP service (eligible via 5 years of Tier 2 + 1 year of ILR), however my case has still not be decided according to the online tool. I asked Home Office via email last week about the status and they said "All applications are dealt with in a...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Yes, since 31 May. I think that there are a few of us. I have had an email, but until I have an approval letter in my hand, not getting too excited. what H.O reply in email ? any good news ? "Granted" is what the email said; however, until I have an actual approval letter in my hands, I do not know...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

@Navinw, The approval letter says that the invitation letter should come within the next 3 weeks. I've got a feeling it won't come until later lol. But fingers crossed as you say second class post shouldn't be more than 5 working days. I'll tag you in this post again when I receive it. Please let m...

Re: Change of address after applying for citizenship

Thanks very much again CR001 If/When the application is approved, do they allow you to select a date for the citizenship ceremony. Ideally I'd like to pick a day that I'm not working and I'm off every other Monday. Thanks I'm not sure how it works with every council, but my council offered a few da...

Re: HO requested original documents

There have been a few people from the May timeline asked to send original docs. Perhaps I do not understand this timeline? I do hope that I haven't offended you as I am really confused as to how this works??

Re: HO requested original documents

CR001, I do understand that citizenship is a privilege. I also understand how government workers work. It just seems that when they are getting close to their own prescribed guidelines, that they push them that much further by asking for additional information at the five plus month mark. Please cor...

Re: HO requested original documents

This seems to be a recurring recent request by HO..... like a few of us from May are being asked to provide this 5 months later. Is it so they can reset their little timeline clock? Tick, tock, driving me crazy!
