Re: Joint Citizenship Application For Mother & Daughter?

Just to update on this. We have just finished submitting a joint AN and MN1 online application for my wife and my step-daughter, We just selected child under 18 when adding the second applicant. The fees charged at the end were correct £1330 for the AN and £1012 for the MN1 plus the biometrics fees. ...

Re: Joint Citizenship Application For Mother & Daughter?

Having done further extensive searching of the official UK government website, I'm not surprised to conclude that it's as useless and non user-friendly as it was during all my previous visa applications. The question is simple - can an application to register a child as a British citizen be included ...

Re: Joint Citizenship Application For Mother & Daughter?

Ok, thanks CR001. If anyone out there has completed recent online citizenship applications for a parent and child (under 18), were you able to do so with one application? Re the passport applications and uncancelled passports, my wife still has her first expired Thai passport and its replacement ...

Re: Joint Citizenship Application For Mother & Daughter?

Thank you very much for the quick reply CR001. That's great. The applications seem onerous enough (given there's a lot of repetition from several previous visa applications), so the idea of separate applications and separate biometrics appointments would've been a bit of a nightmare. Thank you for ...

Joint Citizenship Application For Mother & Daughter?

My wife and stepdaughter (age 15) both have ILR (Sept 2018) and we're now looking at British citizenship applications. Both are Thai nationals (born in Thailand) and I am British. My wife has been in the UK since 2013 and stepdaughter since 2016. We've started the online (naturalisation) application ...

Re: Free school meals and public funds

Thanks for the reply CR001. I think it's the fact that the form turns it into a "joint" claim that makes me nervous, although it's no different to tax credits in that respect. I do have to upload the tax credits documents so could easily upload copies of their visas as you suggest, just so I can say ...

Re: Free school meals and public funds

I've started the online application for free school meals and a uniform payment via the local council website. It asks whether I am applying with a partner and if yes, requests their name and NI number. Not sure if I should be saying yes or no here or whether it matters? My wife's and stepdaughter's ...

Re: Free school meals and public funds

Thanks for the very quick reply CR001. Yes, child tax credits have been claimed jointly with my wife. I wasn't aware I was able to claim child benefit however. I can't remember at all why I thought this. Looks like it can maybe be backdated too. Many thanks for highlighting this.

Free school meals and public funds

I'm a UK citizen married to a non-EEA spouse who currently has UK further leave to remain and likewise stepfather to her non-EEA daughter who is also still under immigration control on the 5-year route. I'm in receipt of child tax credits (but not child benefit) for my stepdaughter because the rules ...
