Re: Moving to London with job offer

No interview, no declaration. I think it asked if we would be traveling together on the application. I said yes, and we did travel together. It was very straightforward.

Re: Moving to London with job offer

I applied for a family permit from the US about six months ago as an American married to an Irish national. I had a job offer before we moved and he didn't. I answered the questions on the application honestly and said I (the non-EEA) plan on working there once we arrive and he plans on looking for ...

Re: EEA FP Approved in 1 day

I believe my application was processed within the States. As instructed, I sent all documents and my application to a United States address, and it was return-posted from that same office. I was not told to send any documents to the UK at any point. Best of luck to everyone, I feel very lucky and wa...

Re: American entering the UK from Ireland as EEA spouse

There is coming into Ireland, but entering into the UK from Ireland is like flying domestically in the States. I was quite surprised the first time when it happened, but I've been to the UK twice now from Ireland and have never gone through any type of border control or immigration.

American entering the UK from Ireland as EEA spouse

Hi all, I am an American spouse of an Irish citizen (solely Irish). We currently live in the US and plan to relocate to the UK at the end of the year. We will be arriving separately from the US to Ireland to visit his family for Christmas, then moving to the UK after a few weeks. There is no border ...

EEA Family Permit Application in Dublin

Hi all, I (American) will be applying for a Family Permit based on my EEA spouse (Irish) in a few months and had a question for anyone who has knowledge regarding a Family Permit and the Common Travel Area. I have searched and read through everything I could find on this forum which was very helpful...
