Spouses of Irish Citizens get the Worst Deal

HI Because I am Irish (BTW Ireland is in the EU) my wife does not qualify for EU treaty rights and in turn an EU4FAM. She has instead got a Stamp 4. The stamp 4 does not allow her to visit other EU countries without a VISA. We want to go to South Spain next month and Barcelona for a weekend after Ch...

Except phone calls records, I'd chat history on Yahoo messenger for about half year, Feb 07 - Oct 07. The oldest ones weren't there anymore, maybe expired, and we don't chat on YM anymore since it's easier just to pick up the phone. I also have the email confirmations for our flights and hotels for...

I think you do not understand my points. I am trying to explain that what you said they said to you in GNIB does not in any way indicate beloved. It's obvious there must have been some misunderstanding on their behalf or on yours. Its also seems that you went in there only for advice when you could ...

I went down to the GNIB and asked the question very clearly, (stating that I'm on a stamp 2, and getting married, and would want to know the necessary information that I will need to change my status after we get married) and all I got was I've no residency, and a very bad attitude (putting his leg...

Knapps Not sure about France, but for the Czech Republic, you wont need a Visa. See here http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=27612 for list of countries that follow the DIRECTIVE. You could ring the French Embassy and find out, or search their website. In any case, if a Visa is required...

Hi Daniya, Sorry to hear you were refused a Visa for your husband. The 'PF' & 'PR' reason will nearly always follow a 'F' (finances) failure. You will have to supply evidence that a relationship existed before the marriage or for some time afterwards. These are the rules, and they are there for a re...

The Embassy gave her an appointment for the 12th of August. This is some five weeks after we made our request. Under the EU Directive 2004/38/EC relating to spouses of EU citizens -- Quote: The Member State of destination should grant you every facility to obtain the necessary visa, which shall be i...

Knapps, I presume you mean 'Stamp 4' as opposed to 'EU4FAM' stamp.

Thank you Christian and Knapps, My wife does not have a EU FAM stamp. She has a STAMP 4, because I am an Irish citizen. She also has a previous work permit and multiple re-entry Visa. I have again tried the phone number the Spanish Embassy give, which they ask to use if you have a problem with Email...

Thank you Benifa for your swift reply. So this means that the stamp 4 is all she will ever get. Ah well, at least she doesnt have to pay for Schengen visa. Spouses of Irish citizen do not qualify for EU Treaty Rights

I am an Irish citizen, and my wife is non-EU living in Ireland for about two years. We recently got married, so we applied for a EU4FAM residence card. The EU Treaty Rights office sent us back the application, stating that she did not qualify for EU Treaty Rights because she is married to an Irish c...

The list of excluded jobs is not what you need to look at.
Look at the jobs that do qualify here: http://workpermit.com/ireland/eligible_ ... reland.htm
If its not on that list its not included unless the job pays over 60K.

Hi Shelly, Unless your paticular job skill is one of those listed by FAS, the work permit is not an option. In any case it is at present being replaced by a new, more stringent system. I would suggest that your spouse and you spend some time living together in The Philippines. In any case, you need ...
