Does anyone know if these new tougher restrictions will also apply to work holiday visas? Or where I can go to find out?

Greengrass, you may want to rethink the "permission to remain" angle if you need a fast decision - which I think is actually impossible in Ireland. I applied for permission to remain in November 06 and was told it would be 4 months, then 6 months. I rang tham after 6 months and was told it probably ...

I too have just ventured out of Ireland to the UK while awaiting an application decision. I sent in my application in November and my visitors permit expired in late December - which was found by the Immigration Officer I encountered through customs. I was informed by him that because I don't have a...

Hi Joe Soap, I'm a New Zealander so I know I don't normally require any type of visa for Ireland. I don't know what category I will fit in if I do get permission to remain. Do you mean it can be difficult to get re-entry visas if the purpose of leaving Ireland is on business? First things first thou...

re-entry with permission to remain

Hi all,
I am a currently applying for permission to remain in Ireland - Can someone tell me if my application is successful, would I have to apply for re-entry visas to go on holiday or leave on business? I am here as a student.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
