Exceeded Absence Limits: Both 450 and 90-Day Rules

I would like to get your advice on my chances of getting my naturalization application approved under the 5-year residency requirement. I recently received ILR in February 2024, and I've been asked to undertake a 6-month secondment in the US for work. This means I will exceed my 90-day absence limit...

Re: Tier 2 (General) switches to BNO visa

Hi - I saw your post and wondering if your friend has any update on the case? I have applied almost 21 weeks ago and still hasn't got a decision.

Thanks.
Would I be able to start a masters course / change to a new job before the decision is made?

Re: Tier 2 to BNO Visa

Hi, Is it normal that I still haven't received my decision yet? I applied on the March 30th, paid health surcharge on June 26th and submitted the TB certificate on July 22nd. Will the HO email me on the decision or will they send via post? I have moved house since beginning of July but have updated ...

Re: Tier 2 to BNO Visa

Thank you for the quick replies. I want to clarify that I was away from the UK in July 2020 - early Jan 2021. Prior to that, I have always been in the UK. Do I still need to do provide the TB certificate? Where did you stay when you are not in UK? If you lived for at least 6 months in a country whe...

Tier 2 to BNO Visa

Hi, I have applied for the BNO Visa at the end of March 2021. I am currently in the UK and have been on a Tier 2 Visa since March 2019. I received an email from the HO today asking me to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge and upload a TB certificate. I have two questions: 1. My company has previou...

EEA EFM switched Tier 2 General -> BNO visa?

Hi, I have previously been granted an EEA EFM status (using my BNO passport), however, the relationship was ended after 1.5 years and I managed to switch to a Tier 2 general (using my HK passport), in which I am 2 years in this visa. At this point, I am thinking to switch to BNO Visa as I would like...

Re: Youth mobility visa to EEA extended family overstaying?

Hi Eliza, I didn't write a letter but I did write an email to NWEUROCOARequests@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and to pdcteam52@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk to ask them to fix my COA. My email was strongly worded but they have 21 days to write back to me. My revised COA letter with right to work probably had NOTHI...

Re: Youth mobility visa to EEA extended family overstaying?

Hi there, If you are already in the UK you should stay here and just apply for the residence card, it unfortunately MUST be done via post so you have to print out the ridiculous forms and fill it in. Or you can leave the UK and return to your home country and apply for the Family Permit which you M...
