Re: Passport documents

All our passports had been received. From my experience, there is no difference in sending the application to the same address or to each address as requested by the system. The timeframe is about the same.

Re: Continous Residency Requirement

My understanding on "has established their home in the UK" is not about buying a house but proving that your home is in UK ie: your spouse, children are in UK, work in UK etc.

Re: Naturalization: Is resident status violated if absence was greater than 180 days at a stretch?

I believe your lawyer is referring to being considered as a UK resident if you live in UK for more than 183 days (not 180 days) for tax purposes. This is different from naturalisation requirements.

Re: British passport

I took the photo of the guidelines a few days ago. If I am not mistaken, it was a link found after I submitted my passport application.

I tried looking for the link and could not find it now.

Re: British passport

I am applying for both mine and my wife passports. Both of us received confirmation that the passport is to be send to different address. I found a UK Web page that states that we can send it to either of the addresses. However, I could not locate this Web page again. Am I correct that we can it to ...

Re: British passport

I applied for my passport today but could not proceed to give the email contact of my friend to verify my identity. Anyone else experienced this?

Is the system down or is there another way to give the friend's email contact?

British passport

I understand that you need to submit the passport you used to enter UK. If that passport had expired and I have a new passport, do I need to submit the expired passport only or both expired and new passport when I apply for my first British passport?

Biometric Letter

I submitted my ILR (Tier 1 Entrepreneur) application 2 weeks ago. Today, I received an email asking me to go to post office to have my Biometric taken within 15 working days from the letter. However I did not receive any Biometric letter. Any advice on what I should do or who to contact for the Biom...

Forms

I understand that when we apply for ILR via Tier 1 Entrepreneur, any child older than 18 years old will need to apply with their own form. However, someone told me that they can use the same application form as mine. Is this correct? If not, someone lead me to the Guidelines that state any child old...

Hi Emirates. May I know whether your friend who got his ILR in 3 weeks submitted just the minimum requirements or did he submit additional documents such as Annual accounts?

Re: Tier 1 Entrepreneur ILR Form

From what I understand, the fees for applying ILR for Tier 1 entrepreneur is £2389. However, after I fill in the e-form, it says the fees is £2408.20. Has there been an increase in fees or did I make a mistake when I fill in the application?

You are allowed to take salary as a director from the company turnover. It does not need to be from profit. However, you are not allowed to take salary from the investment fund.

Re: Tier 1 Entrepreneur ILR Form

Thanks Zimba. Since dependent above 18 apply separately, are there any advantages for him to apply together with us (migrant and spouse)? Or would it be better for him to apply via Premium service after we got our ILR?

Tier 1 Entrepreneur ILR Form

When we fill in the ILR forms for migrant, spouse and 18+ dependents, can we use the same email address or do we need to use individual email address as it is 3 separate forms? I set up a dummy form for 18+ dependent and it did not ask for proof of address to show that he is still living with us. Ar...
