Re: Why are the fees so high?

A former UK PM was a pedophile and they missed it. This was just recently reported. Corruption, nepotism, inefficiency is far more rampant in UK than US. grenfell tower.... if that happened in the US, all hell would have broken loose Bottomline is US is far more attractive no matter how you look at ...

Re: Why are the fees so high?

ok these are fair points. However, why should nurses, teachers, and scientists who are all well qualified and educated foot the bill for these extracurriculars? These people are not that rich and its not fair to burden new skilled workers. i can understand if parasitic bankers get charged more but ...

Why are the fees so high?

HO is clearly running a racket here. The new priority Tier 2 fees is around gbp 1800. The numbers just dont make sense. they issue roughly 2000 Tier 2s per month. If we say the fees is 500 gbp per application, that comes to a million pounds a month on Tier 2 revenue. Lets say they have a 100 ECOs at ...

Tax on new Tier2s

How much cash are new Tier 2s allowed to bring into the country before HMRC considers it taxable? or can they tax savings that a new Tier2 transfers to UK?

Re: Photocopy or Original

You are absolutely right. The VFS lady took my original degrees etc and said they will be returned with the passports.

There were some posts here that said the originals were scanned and returned to them there and then. In my case, she folded them up and put them in a return courier like bag.

aww thanks to you CR001 too. I wouldnt be surprised if you two are real life ECOs helping others incognito. Its hard to believe that someone can acquire this wealth of information by just going through guidlines. in some cases you two are quoting obscure rules and regulations which is amazing.

Hang in there man. A good law firm can make all the difference. The law firm that I quoted for you can do miracles - a friends elderly mother's visit visa was rejected. These guys not only got her a 10 year visa but an apology letter from the Home Office too.

Re: Tier 2 Challenging 320 7a? Is it worth it?

My God, I cannot believe you two. Re: CoS work start vs Actual travel Date - big lapse

not an expert just a user like you.

there are 10 points for english language. If you are relying on the IELTS you gave for your PLABs then be aware there a different IELTS for visa. Otherwise a UK degree would do.

national insurance number question

The Tier 2 application form has a question on National insurance number. As a Tier 4 student some 13/14 years ago, I was employed by the University and issued a NIN. Since then I completely forgot about it, moved to the US and didnt even remember I was issued this number. Now my new UK employer sent ...
