Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Many thanks for your advice again. I have decided to use only those documents dated *strictly before* the date of application (which unfortunately was about a month ago already!) I have a question about consent forms. I am applying ILR with my wife and my child (3 applicants in total) - I have curre...

Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Many thanks Ticktack. Just to confirm - my understanding is that I can upload documents (e.g., scanned passport, BRPs) up until 48 hours before the biometrics appointment - which for me has not happened yet. Do you mean that the caseworker will look at the dates of the documents, and simply ignore t...

Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

We have submitted the application and are waiting for the biometrics appointment now. Just wondering if documents that appear *after* the date of application, but *before* the biometrics appointment have to be uploaded? For example, a new payslip has become availble since I submitted the application...

Re: Can my kids get ILR , if one parent has ILR and another does not ( kids not born in UK/ EU)

If they are currently on PBS dependant route, please don't switch to FLR
as this would reset your wife's ILR clock. You should extend your wife and child's
PBS dependant visas (by 3 years, according to the rules).

Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Many thanks for all your help. I have decided to play it safe and apply ILR for all of us (adding my wife and my son as dependants on my SET(O) form). I have some additional queries regarding the documents requested: 1. I have been asked to provide some cohabitation evidence: If you have added a spo...

Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Many thanks for your help Zimba! Q1. Yes, but why a dependant visa though? A child can be included in the same ILR application as the parents. The child qualifies for ILR when both parents settle The main reason is the cost - my employer can cover the dependant visa cost, but not the ILR cost. Q2. W...

Re: UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Some follow-up questions (my apologies, if these are deemed no longer relevant to ILR): My wife and I are about to apply for ILR in August 2022 (as we are getting close to finishing 5 years on Tier 2 / Tier 2 dependant visas). We have a UK-born child (currently 3 years old), and all our visas will e...

UK born child - ILR first then MN1?

Dear members, My wife and I are about to apply for ILR in August 2022 (as we are getting close to finishing 5 years on Tier 2 / Tier 2 dependant visas). We have a UK-born child (currently 3 years old), and all our visas will expire in September 2022. I am aware that my UK-born child can register for...

Many thanks, I will definitely do that just in case.
Do we have other examples of MN1 applications *before* both parents' ILR were granted (but after their ILR application)?

Re: MN1 application before parents' ILR decision?

Thanks! The child was born in the UK without a visa initially, but we later "legalised" his status with a Tier 2 dependant visa when he was about 1.5 years old. He will be 4 in early September.

MN1 application before parents' ILR decision?

Hi all, I (tier 2 general) and my wife (tier 2 dependant) are about to apply for ILR, but we also have a child (born in the UK, also tier 2 dependant) that we want to register as a BC using MN1. I am wondering if we can submit the child's MN1 application *before* the parents' ILR decision (but after...

Re: NI Number

Hi

In my last tier 2 application (change of employer) I left my NI number as empty
while I actually have one. The application was successful and the BRP issued
had my correct NI number printed on anyway.

Re: Tier2- Change of employer

You don't need to worry. Changing end date with sponsor note is normal - that happened with both of my previous CoS's and all the applications were successful.

I asked DX to reschedule the deliver...

Change address before receiving BRP

Hello all, Would be grateful if you can provide some suggestions on my situation. I have applied for tier 2 visa (extension) earlier and it has been approved. However, I must move to another address before I receive my BRPs by post. Should I use the "change of circumstances" form? (I don't yet know ...

Re: URGENT - uploaded wrong BRP

Hi

I would suggest you sending a cover letter (in which you should make clear what type of visa you are applying, your application number, etc.), along with a photocopy of the correct BRP, to
Sheffield. In the meantime you can also try to call them or email them.

Re: Fixed penalty notice - forgot to declare

To be more precise, I FORGOT TO DECLARE this on the application form. I am aware that there have been some tier 2 application refusals in the past due to non-disclosure, but they were either for cautions/warnings (which forms a part of the criminal record; not the case for FPNs) or for parking/drivi...
