Re: delay more than 10 months

Hi all, I am also from the middle east (Iraq) and I think this makes my application extremely slow. I have applied on 14/11/2018 and it's been more than six months since the date of my application without any decision made regarding my application. I do not have any immigration problem. I applied th...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Dear all, I have made an online application on the 14/11/2018 after obtaining an ILR for 1 year through the 10 year route. However I have not received any response from the office regarding the decision, which is not normal considering that people receive their reponse within a month or two. I wonde...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hi all, I wanted to be fully sure about travelling while waiting for a decision, so I contacted the Home Office because I made an application on the 14/11/2018 and I am hoping to travel for the Christmas holidays. The lady said "it's up to you to travel as long as you have the right document to get ...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I thought of a scenario where on the way back to the UK, my name shows on the screen for the person at the immigration desk as British citizen, while I'm entering in the UK with another passport + an ILR? that's the only thing I was concerned about.

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Thanks very much CR001. Please bear in mind that with the new service (with Sopra Steria), it says in the link below that you may not travel until a decision is made, check out the link below. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/ukvis-new-front-end-services-what-you-need-to-know#appointments-at-premium-serv...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hi all, I have submitted my online application today and will have my NDRS appointment tomorrow (14/11/2018) at the council. So probably will not be able to receive a decision before the end of the year. Is it OK if I go on a holiday during the Christmas break? would there be a problem if a decision...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hi

In the NDRS online application form, as well as in the passport application form, I am required to write the full names of both my parents. Would it be useful to also submit copies of their passports in the appointement?

Regards

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hi all, I am submitting an online application through the document return service at Southampton city council. I have moved to Southampton recently, so all my referees are ones from where I used to work before at Lancaster. I am completing my 12 months from the date of obtaining the ILR on 13/11/201...

Re: Student letters for proof of residency

Thanks a lot for your reply peacefultraveller.

Sorry for bothering you again. To make sure I understand your comment, do you mean that providing the passports and BRPs for the entire 10 years is normally sufficient enough to prove the long residence?

Hi all, I am about to submit an ILR application after having been a resident in the UK for almost 10 years.
