Re: New salary threshold of £38,700

Regarding comments on space for new homes, in densely populated countries, people live in blocks of flats. You can fit maybe 80 families or more on the same ground area that perhaps 15 - 20 would occupy in single family homes spread out individually, each with a driveway and garden. In the UK, the ...

Re: Has ILR financial requirement raised to £38700?

Does this apply for ILR or just new spousal/family visa applications? I know the news is early and new but kinda stressed. Please le...

Re: New salary threshold of £38,700

I saw the announcement live: "Fourthly, we will ensure that people only bring dependants who they can support financially by raising the minimum income for family visas to the same threshold as the minimum salary threshold for skilled workers, which £38,700." But back to the original question please...

New salary threshold of £38,700

The UK government announced today that they want to raise the minimum salary requirement for family visa from 18k to 38k.

Do you think it will actually become law or is there a chance this won't make it through? I have never earned 38k in my life...

Re: settling in Ireland with a non-EU spouse

Unclear if you are a dual citizen why you have applied for a UK spouse visa for your spouse instead of the EEA family permit for the UK which is free  Hello CR001, well it's because of Brexit isn't it? In the current toxic climate there was no real guarantee that her right to stay here would ...

Re: meaning of "awaiting a decision" email?

I was told by my solicitor that a priority service means that your application will be put at the front of the queue. That’s it. It may be processed quickly, but unfortunately paying for priority does not guarantee 100% you will get a response faster, regardless of your situation. Some members have...

Re: meaning of "awaiting a decision" email?

Oh I see.. thanks Jaune08...but at least it means it has indeed started to be processed, so it's not an entirely bad news. I'd had been worried if it was still queuing... No worries! When did you submit your application? And when have you got that email? :) So the application was submitted on the 6...

Re: meaning of "awaiting a decision" email?

Does it mean something..or does it mean nothing? Like, I mean, people who get that email, do they usually get the outcome shortly afterwards or could it still take forever (I paid for a priority service) many thanks for any insight... I does mean nothing, really. It's just an acknowledgement (stand...

Re: Spouse application/communication/honeymoon.

I don't see any way that such an application could be succesful. It flashes all the Home office red lights that would make them assess your relationship as non-genuine (it doesn't matter that you say it is, what matters is that THEY say it is). The most very basic requirement is that you should hav...

Spouse visa tracking : Is Bluedart website not working?

I have heard of that website "bluedart" (https://www.bluedarttrackings.in/ ) which supposedly helps tracking the GWF*** visa numbers. However when I put the GWF*** number is the "Ref No" bow, the page seems to crash and says "bluedart.com unexplctedly closed the connection". I also tried without the...

Re: What is the chain of sms notifications we should expect?

but the reason why I ask, is because I wonder, is it normal to have it received it so quickly, or is it meaningless (important note: I paid for the priority service). Does that text mean the application is already being assessed? Its a standard text of just confirming the receipt of application. No...
