Working outside the UK on Tier 2?

What if I'm currently residing in the UK on a Tier 2 Employer Sponsored Visa and I choose to go back to my native country (Canada), and my current employer wishes to continue employing me while I work remotely in Canada for the remainder of my visa term (expires next spring). Nothing regarding my co...

IHS refund request

I recently received my visa in the post and it is for a shorter amount of time than I applied for. I believe I overpaid for the IHS fee because I submitted the application for a longer duration. The letter that I received with my visa advised me to contact them if I believe I overpaid, but there are...

Re: Can you renew prior to expiry date?

Thank you for your reply, and apologies for the duplicate post. It doesn't matter then if my employer then enters Aug 31 2022 as the CoS end date? I understand HO will only issue the visa for up to six years, I just want to make sure my application won't be refused initially because the CoS is longe...

Total stay not more than 6 years?

Hello, My Tier 2 Visa was issued on Aug 13 2015 and it will expire Aug 31 2019. I am applying to renew my Tier 2 for up to 3 years. Can I go for the full three years (i.e. Aug 31 2022) because on the Home Office website it says: How long you can stay: You can apply to extend your visa for up to anot...

Re: Can you renew prior to expiry date?

My wife and I already have Tier 2 visas that we are renewing so we don't have to leave the country to make the application, but our baby was just born here in the UK and is thus applying for her first visa. I will be sponsoring her as my dependent on my Tier 2 renewal - does that mean she has to lea...

Re: Can you renew prior to expiry date?

But not any sooner than 3 months?

And if I apply 3 months before expiry, I want the date of the new visa to start before the expiry of the previous one - is this possible?

Can you renew prior to expiry date?

Just a quick question: My wife and I have Tier 2 visas that are due to expire Aug 31 2019. Can we apply to have our visas renew early before Aug 31st? The reason being we just had a baby and we need to get her a visa. My work has is going to sponsor me again for another three years and I will sponso...

Re: Visa + IHS fee calculation

If I were to get a three year renewal visa do I have to pay the entire 3 year health care surcharge up front or can I pay for my first year at the time of the application and top up the remaining years as they occur? If so, how do I go about this?

Re: Visa + IHS fee calculation

Thank you for this - I knew something was the matter! I did the calculation last week and it was half the amount! The UK government is really doing all they can to slash immigration numbers with these insane fees

Visa + IHS fee calculation

Sorry for the annoying question but I just want to check I have my Tier 2 General Visa Renewal fees straight. To apply in the country for a Tier 2 General less than 3 years is £704 per person, correct? The IHS surcharge is £400 per person per year? This is what I'm most uncertain about because I've ...

more or less than 3 years

https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general I'm looking into renewing my Tier 2 visa, and on the website I only see two options '"Up to 3 years" or "more than 3 years". Is there such thing as a one or two year Tier 2 visa renewal? My wife and I are both Canadian and we are about to have a baby next month. I a...

Re: Having a baby on a Tier 2 Visa

Thank you for the info - much appreciated.

I had a Tier 5 Youth Mobility visa from Aug 2013 to Aug 2015. In Aug 2015 I switched to a Tier 2 Employer sponsored visa that is due to expire Aug 2019. Can I apply for ILR in Aug 2018 or does it have to be 5 years on the same visa?

Having a baby on a Tier 2 Visa

Just a quick questions: My wife and I are Canadian and I'm on a Tier 2 Employer Sponsored Visa and she has a Tier 2 Dependent Visa. We are considering having a baby but we want to know if we have to get it a visa once it is born, and whether or not we will have to pay the health care surcharge. If i...
