Yes. You are right. Thanks very much for specific details and good to hear from you.

Now I have another doubt. Since my Tier 1 is expiring soon, will that be an issue in applying and receiving Irish Visa. I guess the answer is not straight unless I try it.

Regards

Re: Travel To Ireland with Tier 1 Expiring - Do I need any Visa?

Thanks. I was really waiting for a response by someone. So, I can't use Visa Waiver Programme if I am long term resident of UK.

Now, Please do you have any idea if I can apply for Ireland(South) visa with my Tier 1 expiring next month end and if so, how long they would they give for.

Regards

Travel To Ireland with Tier 1 Expiring - Do I need any Visa?

Hi I am in UK on Tier 1 (General) and its expiring in less than 2 months. I am planning to visit Ireland for vacation. My Questions please - 1. Can an Indian passport holder with Tier 1/2 visas travel without any visa to Ireland 2. If so, any minimum validity of those visas needed to be allowed. For...

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Hi CR001 et al I am back again with some update and seeking further advise. I spoke to my company and though they haven't denied sponsoring yet they confirmed its not company policy to sponsor visas and would get back to me in a week. So, I seem to be having only two options if that doesn't go throu...

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Very helpful with all the information. This really would be the most sensible option to be honest. You would need a CoS and your employer will need to do RLMT if your job is not on the shortage occupation list. You would also need a minimum of £30,000per salary or if the salary in the CoS is higher,...

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Wow. That was super quick :). Thanks a lot. Now I am getting clarity on way forward. The simplest way to find out if they are an approved sponsor is to see if they are on HO's list here (click). Your best option, to apply for ILR based on 5 years residence which will include Tier 1 General, is to ap...

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Hi CR001 Truly appreciate quick reply. HO follow the rules. You have the option to switch into Tier 2 or Tier 1 Ent if you have the funds. Why can your current employer not sponsor your on Tier 2? Have you asked them?? Haven't asked them yet as I am not sure if its their policy. They initially emplo...

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Thanks a lot to both zimba & CR001. To answer your points But have you had 10 years of lawful residence ? You said you had long gaps in your stay. Have you had gaps of 180 days or more ? Or the total absences or more than 540 days in the 10 years period ?? No criminal offence in the last 24 months ?...

Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Hi Here is my situation - I am currently working for a Fortune 500 company as a permanent employee in Central London through Tier 1 General.
