Hi
About to apply for FLR(M). Will our new visa be dated from the date of our application of the date it is approved?

Many thanks.

Re: Housing Benefit with one partner on Immigration control

Thanks Hally for that post. I don't want to hijack this thread but would like to ask a question based on your post I am a UK citizen sponsoring my spouse and dependant daughter (11 years) and I just started to claim child benefit for my step daughter. I know that this is a legal claim but could this...

Re: Crime not Recognized

Hi, it is a weird situation for my friend. she is going to apply for a UK family visa but she was fined by police in her own country for not having a proper Hijab! She does not know if she has to declare it on the application form as this offence is not recognized in the UK. Any thought? My thought...

Re: FLR M - premium

I am confused. If the earliest you apply for renewal is 30 months from start less 28 days, can you book an appointment 45 days in advance providing the appointment is scheduled after the 30 months less 28 days? As an example, I arrived in UK June 10th 2016 30 months forward is December 10th 2018 Les...

Hi I am stuck on this question and wondered what your thoughts are? Section 10 of FLR(M) Question 10.1 'Have you been convicted or any criminal offence in the UK or any other country' Yes or No? In 2000 I was given a citation in NC USA for expired tag/registration (annual registration). Its usual in...

Re: Child Benefit for dependant stepdaughter

Thank you for the reply.
Section 1 of the child benefit form asks about me and my marital or partnership status and then Section 2 asks about my 'partner' (my wife) and I have to fill in her personal details etc. I hope this is not viewed as both myself and my wife applying?

Child Benefit for dependant stepdaughter

Hi, I am the British spouse, my wife and 11 year old stepdaughter are here on a spouse/dependant visa (no recourse to public funds). FLR(M) due next year.

Can I claim child benefit for my step daughter?

Thanks
