Re: Claiming child benefit for a overseas born UK citizen

As it is obviously not stamped or anything upon entry, so can't be used to prove my child's entry date. Or is there another reason they need the passport? To prove the child's citizenship or other basis/right to apply for benefits? That's what I'm not clear about. My wife and I are both naturalised ...

Claiming child benefit for a overseas born UK citizen

My child was born abroad but has a british passport. When applying for child benefit, HMRC are asking to send my child's passport, which I'm not too comfortable to do as (i) we're travelling overseas in about a month and (ii) because they seem to return documents by untracked 2nd class mail and im ...

Re: TLScontact website for booking naturalisation appointment

I just tried booking and the earliest appointments avaliable in any of the london centres was the 24th october (so 8 day wait). And this was a prime appointment that I had to pay £60 for.

You would also require a new CoS if you apply again.
Is this the case if the original application has been made just 1 week ago, and the CoS is valid till January?

Re: Upgrading to Priority service by withdrawing application

Yes I am feeling silly for not checking if that were delays right now. Particularly as I have experienced them myself in the past for tier 2 and ILR. I just thought the pandemic was over and everything was back to normal. If anyone has any experience on this I know my friend would really appreciate ...

Upgrading to Priority service by withdrawing application

My friend submitted her skilled worker (heath care worker) extension application (same employer) on the 30th October. She has since realised that there are delays to processing applications andhas travel booked for the xmas holidays. As one can't upgrade a prexisting application to priority, I think ...

T2 (General) changing SOC code

I am currently in the process of applying for an extension to my Tier 2 (General) visa with the same employer. HR have issued me with my new CoS, and I have noticed that the SOC code (2119) is not the correct one for my job. I had a look at my current CoS with the same employer (which was issued 2.5 ...

CoS salary: can it be changed after visa application submission/visa approval?

This is a bit of a niche question, so please bear with me. My friend has been offered a shortage occupation job and has just received today her CoS from her employer. However, the salary on the CoS is incorrect (42k) and significantly lower than what she was expecting. So the Q is: can the salary ...

Biometrics letter for Tier 2 General (Extension)

*EDIT* Ok I'm an idiot.
