MN1 payment checkbox issue

Hi members, I went to Manchester NCS today to submit the nationality application for my son. On the MN1 form ,I had not ticked the check box in section 7.3 that says that I have included the appropriate fee. I thought that when I fill the payment slip in NCS then I will check it. At NCS, I filled th...

ILR success at Liverpool PEO with biometric delays

Hi All, My appointment was on 21st at 2 PM. Everything went OK but case worker told me that biometric system is slow and they can not see the results today. He assured me that everything else is OK and when he finally gets the results, he would approve the ILR. Anyway, I got our passport back on 25t...

Seems like I am at a double disadvantage. I entered UK within 28 days of visa stamp date and then did an extra extension also. So I may not be eligible for the concession for people who entered late and their leave is expiring. Another question. Is last date mentioned on the visa is inclusive or not...

I got an appointment at Croydon. I think I will print out the rules and take them with me to show the 319E(c). If senior members can suggest some other arguments, I will appreciate. On a separate note, I entered UK after 25 days of my visa stamping. When I called home office to book an appointment a...

If I apply by post for me and my wife, what will be the status of my son while application is pending. As he (my son) was born here in UK, I was planning NOT to apply settlement for him and go directly for MN1. But his visa also expires on 26 March. Can the period in which he will not have any visa ...

Thanks Vinny. Your input is greatly appreciated. 319E(c) is quite clear. She should not have turned down my wife's application. Now I can not find any other appointment till 26th March when her visa expires and I think I will be forced to fork out 550£ on another extension.

I was going for the option of applying an extension for my wife and then ILR together when she has got it. But I dont want to apply an extension for my son. Seems waste of money. But in that case, he will be without visa untill we get ILR. So I was thinking will it be any problem.

I have a 3 years old son who was born here. I was planning to do MN1 registration after ILR. Now if I wait for my wife extension and then apply ILR, his visa would have expired. Do you guys see any problem with that.

It was Liverpool. The lady who checked the document told me about this. She was nice and gave me 5 minutes to discuss with my wife which option I need to take. But it was a shock. Totally unexpected.

ILR and Tier 1 Dependent

Hi, I was not sure whether to put it in ILR or Tier1. So finally decided to put it in ILR section. I came here in 2007 on HSMP and my wife joined me in 2008. We extended our stay in 2009 under Tier 1 General. Our visas are valid till 26 March 2012. But in October last year, I got an extension for my...

So if I had not extended the visa then I could have applied 28 days before the day visa was issued(26 March). But now that I have extended, I should apply 28-days before my entry in the UK (21-april). The expiry of my wife's visa is not taken into consideration. If I subtract 28 from 21-April, then ...

Does 2nd Tier1 extension effect ILR eligibility date?

Hi, I would like some advice from the senior members about the date on which I can apply for ILR. My HSMP visa was granted on 26 March 2007. I entered UK on 21 April 2007. As my entry was within 3 months, I should be able to apply 28 days before 26 March. But in October this year, I took another Tie...

Can you apply for extension early

HI, I am on a HSMP visa that expires in March 2009. I will apply for extension under Tier 1. I think that home office guide line is to apply one month before your visa expires. My question is can I apply it in November this year around 4 month before visa expires. Will there be any problem or home o...

This website is quite reliable. I have used it to book hotel when I travel to different cities in UK. But there is word of caution here from my experience when I used it to book for accommodation proof for HSMP visa. I booked a hotel in cambridge and its terms and conditions clearly stated that they...

My concern was whether they will change income windows for the erning points. Like you may need to earn 40K for as many points which you can get with an income of say 35K today.

Now this 40K salary part can be a problem for many of already present people who will go for their FLR next year. "Under the new system, someone aged under 28 with a PhD, for example, who has previous annual earnings of at least £16,000 a year, will gain the 75 points necessary for entry. Universit...

Type of HSMP dependant visa (Visa to Join Spouse/CP)

I am in UK for last 3 months on HSMP visa. My wife applied for her visa and she got it. But on her visa, the type field reads "Visa to Join Spouse/CP". Can anyone confirm if this is normal practice. Because I was under the impression that dependant visa type is also HSMP.

Ayaz,
You dont apply for HSMP in Pakistan or South Africa. You send your documents, filled application form with fee to UK. Once you get the HSMP approval letter from home office uk then you apply for entry clearance (visa) in the country where you are living. I hope it helps.
