I was refused with 45 points. I'll try again next month, but both February and March will be tough with only 1000 certificates available each month. This backlog probably won't resolve itself until April. I think February is 1500 and March is 1000. This is what i saw from UK gov website for last ye...

It should be between 40-45. I'm not sure exactly what salary they used. It does not fall under the shortage occupation list.

Yes, my future employer applied in the end of December. They, and their visa professional, haven't heard any news yet or received an update in the SMS.

In our license application we wrote that we need 1 COS now, and gave all my details with the application as well, so when the license arrived we had a COS assigned to the company already (we did not have to apply for it separately) and they just put my details in and did the Tier 2 visa application...
