Is it mandatory to attend a citizenship ceremony? If so, when did that start - a recent requirement? That's tough for some of us who are not in Europe.

If it helps, Rcrowley32 (his/her post on the previous page) indicates it took 2 months for the children's applications to be approved. The passport process is, of course, an entirely different matter.
