I just got a reply from them saying that they are not doing any virtual ceremonies. I think they are still doing private ones but the queue is long apparently... Hi all I think I spoke to soon. I got home today from work and saw my citizenship letter. It is similar to the email I received back in Oct but advising what I should do next. I tried to book it online straight away but it won’t let me because the council couldn't find my details. I will ring them ...

Approval Date: 23 October 2020 Date on the invitation letter: 30 December Received on: 13 January (letter says I should use the details within 21 days of date above) I strongly suspect that these letters are printed in batches and not posted right away. Do you guys think they printed and posted certificates in this holiday from the 7th of October to 20th of October? I doubt the home office are sending anymore invitation until next year. They’re probably resume sending them on the second week of January 2021 onwards..... Fingers crossed that we all...
