Spouse Visa FLR(M) Extension – Questions including Section 3C

Hi everyone My current spouse visa has expired. I submitted the FLR(M) application prior to this expiry. My biometric appointment is in 3 weeks’ time. Some questions I hope you can help me with: 1. Can I confirm Section 3C allows me to continue working in the UK, as I submitted the application befor...

Spouse Visa - Maternity questions

Hi everyone A couple of questions related to maternity for spouse visa holders. 1. Is antenatal/maternity care provided by NHS free of charge, given the immigration health surcharge has been paid as part of the spouse visa application? 2. Are spouse visa holders able to claim Statutory Maternity Pay...

Re: Spouse Visa BRP

Hello Quick question on spouse visa BRP. What terms should be listed under the “Type of Permit” field? What fields are available there? On my BRP, under the field "Type of Permit", there is actually a space, and under that space are the words "Leave to Enter". Comparing to the BRP I used to hold fo...

Re: Clarification on Jobseeker’s Allowance

Thanks JB007 for your detailed reply. I am aware I am not able to claim any public funds. For my own research I started looking into all the different terms and guidance and got myself confused. First and foremost, I just want to ensure my spouse (British Citizen) can claim the new style JSA, if tha...

Clarification on Jobseeker’s Allowance

Hi All Seeking clarification on Jobseeker’s Allowance. On gov.uk jobseekers allowance eligibility pages it says there are 3 different types of JSA: - “new style” JSA - contribution based JSA - income-based JSA The latter two appear to require entitlement to severe disability premium to be able to be...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Hi All Has anyone received their passport and replacement vignette back? I submitted my passport to my local VFS at the start of July and I am still waiting for it to be returned to me. The CIH email requested the passport be submitted within 21 days of receiving the email which I did, yet it is tak...

Re: Uk spouse visa expired vignette

Hi Paulmac1 I'm in a similar boat. I've emailed CIH with the request and also some questions but have not heard back. My local visa centre has also re-opened but I have not heard from them either. I think they are prioritising applicants who applied before lockdown but couldn't complete their biomet...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Hello Hope everyone is doing okay. I have a quick question. For background, my UK spouse visa has been granted, but due to global pandemic I have not been able to travel to UK, and my vignette has expired. I’ve emailed CIH requesting for revised vignette but haven’t received a response to the questi...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Hi All You’ve probably seen the new guidance from Home Office for those who have expired/soon to expire vignettes. One thing I am not sure about is when sending the email, are we supposed to include our revised entry dates? Or is this part provided when they contact us? I.e. when we would then have ...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Hi Just wondering whether anyone has received any response from the Coronavirus Immigration Help (CIH) Centre? I emailed them a few weeks ago but didn’t receive a response back. I rang the CIH helpline earlier and the person I spoke to said there was a form on the gov.uk website that can be filled i...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Hello I just wanted to clarify my understanding on the length of the spouse visa, and its impact on ILR. The first spouse visa issued is 33 months. We need at least 30 months of this in the UK + another 30 months in the next further leave to remain (FLR) application, before we can apply for ILR, rig...

Re: Spouse Visa: Travel and Covid-19

Thank you CR001. Where would I be able to find further guidance on the transfer of conditions, specifically around applying after the travel window has passed? Hi All I’ve recently received my passport back with my spouse visa application successful. My travel window is next month. Re: Medical Treatment Question

Oops, sorry!

I held the YMS visa from 2013 through 2015.

The guidance I was reading was found on the national archives: Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme Guidance Notes (Version 07/2012).

Thanks!

Re: Medical Treatment Question

Many thanks, CR001! With regards to the 'wait period' it was more to do with not being able to receive free treatment straight away, as opposed to not being able to use the NHS at all. My apologies, in my haste I was a little unclear. For hospital treatment, I actually found this on UKBA YMS guidanc...

Re: Medical Treatment Question

Hi Everyone Just re-visiting this thread with some further NHS related questions. Specifically, I am trying to find out if Tier 5 YMS visa holders (pre- IHS...

I'm not aware of being asked to pay anything back, but I will check and confirm - can't be too careful especially when applying for spousal visa.

Thanks for your help, seagul.

Re: Medical Treatment Question

Thanks seagul. My Tier 2 visa was applied for after April 6, 2015. The supporting information you linked seems to refer to visas before this date, though, the confusing thing is that there is a point there for after the date ( if you applied for your visa after April 6 2015, you would have had to pa...
