I understand that. The online form (attached) asks whether you want to add an applicant. What are the benefits of this or should we just do it separately?

Will do. Thank-you.

My husband is due on the same day, should we apply together or is there no major benefit of that?

Re: Citizenship application with expiring passport

Ok, so I can start to put together my application by using the online AN form as I linked above and then make the appointment when I've completed that?

One last question: Do we still fill in the online form as per normal here and print out to take to the appointment? Then make the appointment?

Citizenship application with expiring passport

Hiya, My husband and I will be using the NCS to apply for citizenship (after 12 months on ILR). We are eligible as of March 3. His Australian passport expires in April. We were wondering if that would be an issue as it is likely to expire during the processing time. He will be applying for a new one ...

Re: First British Passport for a Child after receiving citizenship.

The guidance notes clearly state what sections need to be completed, simply complete what is asked for. Grandparents details not required if child is not automatically British born to British born parents. First British passport - Child Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9. Section 6 if it applies. The ...

First British Passport for a Child after receiving citizenship.

Hiya, Not sure if this is the right place to ask this? I am filling in the passport form for my daughter's first British Passport and Section 4 of the form requires us to provide more information. As my daughter's citizenship was based on Section 1 (3), do I just provide details of our ILR ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

I forgot to update this, everything went fine with the appointment and ILR granted. THANK-YOU for all your help.

We also applied for my daughter's British Citizenship and that was granted within approx. 2 months.

Days Absent Question

Hiya, I'm filling out the MN(1) form for my daughter and it asks to note all the days she was absent from the UK and to tally the total number of days up. I seem to recall that you don't count days that she was travelling (so if she left the UK and arrived elsewhere on the same date, that you don't ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

Great that you got it granted. Where you asked for birth certificates of your parents/grandparents? (You had raised in your initial question that the set(O) form no longer has it as a requirement I supplied all of mine regardless, but my husband lost his birth certificate somewhere at home in our ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

ILR granted and with a relatively quick wait time! Thank-you so much for all of your help! What a relief! Now we just have to apply for our daughter's citizenship! We plan to use the Checking Scheme as you suggested so we can keep all of our documents, however we do have a couple of EU trips planned ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

Hiya, Just seeking confirmation on my previous post about the January 2018 SET(O) form no longer asking for documents proving the Ancestry link? I couldn't see it in the new forms at all, but I don't want to be caught out. Same with it not mentioning making photocopies of documents. Do you think it ...

Re: Form SET(O) updated to 16/01/18

So if anybody noticed any changes? I have seen two changes: -Section 12 Documents no longer says to provide photocopies of documents (incl.passports). -Section 12 when applying under UK Ancestry no longer asks you to provide documents proving your UK ancestry, eg: your birth certificate, parent's ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

My apologies, I had issues finding my original post. Interestingly we have just filled out the January 2018 SET(O) forms and there are a few major omissions compared to previous versions of the form: -In Section 12 with the Documents, it no longer says you need to provide photocopies documents ...

Certified copy of birth certificate for Ancestry?

Am I able to use a certified copy of my Mother's birth certificate as documentation or does it have to be an original only? It's an Australian birth certificate photo copy that has a stamp saying: ''I certify that this is a true copy of the original certificate document'' and is legally signed and ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

Thanks, I think I might fill in the paper form after all then, as the online one seems a bit confusing since it doesn't allow you to NOT answer 6.3, whereas the paper one is clearer as to what needs to be filled out. Annoying, as the online one does seem to automatically leave out all of the Tier ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

I guess my question is: If I fill out the paper form instead, does 6.2 apply to us and does it mean any holiday? And does 6.3 apply to us too, whereby we have to provide 'evidence' for 6.2? It seems like the evidence is only really applying to Tier applicants? Can you also confirm how many days we ...

Re: A few questions regarding SET(O) Ancestry---filling out the form

Me again! Just when I think I have a handle on it! I decided to give filling out the online form a go, and I know you have said you don't have access to the online form however it made me realise that perhaps I misunderstood the paper form too. Section 6 asks about our Immigration history and I ...
