Re: New changes for doctors and its effective from

Would NHS just hand out the CoS (Unrestricted, I suppose) next month to all the doctors and nurses at one go? Would they even have that many to give? Aren’t unrestricted CoSs also applied for annually? I don’t think the hospitals knew they’d need so many unrestricted CoS. Even after the relief of b...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

You would think that the changes would come into effect for RCoS applications made for the July allocation but if the score drops this month or doctors with lower salaries make it through it might signal that it will also effect this month which would be great in terms of the backlog being worked th...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

I don’t think just removing doctors will help the tier 2 issue significantly. We learnt from the breakdown of where the RCoS were being allocated last month that it’s nurses that are taking up the largest chunk, not doctors. And also if the issue is resolved with the doctors the papers (I.e. the Gua...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

Friends, are there any salary limits based on job role, considering the recent min score trend (including May), checked the option of new Ad with increased salary however my sponsor says for an IT resource even though with more than 10yrs of exp, the annual salary would be max 42k GBP. I do not fin...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

milk round ads are placed for graduates fresh out of college and I doubt most companies would pay 41k salary to graduates when most of us with years of experience haven't been offered such high salaries It really depends what industry. There are plenty of law, finance, engineering, etc graduates wi...

Re: Working prior to course starting

Hi Everyone, I have an unconditional offer to study a masters course in the UK starting in September. I understand that you're allowed to enter the UK up to 4 weeks before the start of the course. If I already have a part-time/weekend job lined up prior to arriving in the UK does anyone know if I'm...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

Hi all My position was advertised on 6 Dec. I’m on 34 points and have been refused every month due to point. The cut off for applying for the RCOS is the 5th of the month. Will my RLMT be valid for June? The guidance/rules state that the RCoS needs to be assigned within 6 months of the job first be...

Re: Tier 2 New Entrant Prioritisation

Hi, I am a recent Tier 4 Visa graduate, just returned home to the states. When applying for the RCOS for Tier 2, do “new entrant” salaries receive priority in allocation? I know there is a backlog for the point system, but I read on one of the forums that new entrants and graduates may receive RCOS...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

The cut off was always going to be 55 when we heard of more than one person at 55 points getting their’s exceptionally outside of the monthly quota. This has happened in previous months and means that not all of the 55 band were able to fit in the normal quota but there were less than 100 so they co...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

Oh also: if there’s two approvals at 55 points now being granted “exceptionally” that’s a fairly strong indication that the cut off is 55. Like a previous month it looks like they had to borrow some from June and grant some exceptionally outside the quota to get the whole band across (I.e. there wer...

This is my sixth month applying (employer has redone RLMT) at 31 pts. I've followed these feeds for the past six months and gone through a lot of the same stresses you all feel. I've lived in the UK for two years before running into these issues so I really feel like I've been pulled from my home, ...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

If it is true that the cut off is 55 - there must have been a huge amount of shortage and PhD roles because the backlog of 50s left after the high March cut off were cleared last month. Really hard to ever see it dropping at the moment if this is the case. Let’s hope for some kind of miracle that on...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

To those of you stressing out on 60+ points...Just because you didn’t hear anything today doesn’t mean you wont. It takes a long time, you need to be patient. Even if this is a bad month and the 60+ points miss out (very unlikely btw) you will still be in a box seat to get approved in the coming mon...
