Hi! Just want to get advice if it is true that you are still allowed to travel outside UK using your current passport and BRP as long as you have not attended the citizenship ceremony yet? Many thanks!

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hi! We Submitted our naturalisation application online on 18 July. Then we received an email confirming we don’t need to attend a face to face appointment for biometrics and to just submit documents and id verification thru the idv app which we did on 9 September. But yesterday, we received an emai...

Re: Naturalisation Questions

Hello! Just a follow up question. After completing the questions online, it shows an option to add an applicant(child over 18). I just want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing to include her in my application. She is over 18 and with ILR. She did a separate application when she applied for I...

Re: Naturalisation Questions

1. You are married, so that is what you need to out. You can add a note if you wish or a brief cover letter explaining. 2. Same as #1 above. Explain in a letter. 3. You need to include all your employment as the form asks. 4. Your name. 5. Gaps are fine. 6. No! 7. The address where she lives. 8. Ye...

Re: ILR for Tier 2 child who has not been in UK for 5 years

Yes considering she meets all other requirements, just want to make sure that her years of residence here is irrelevant and wont be a reason for a refusal.

Thank you. It is nice to get some clarity here since the rules are sometimes a bit of a whirl.

Re: Tier 2 dependant to ILR

On the gov.uk website, the 5 years period is only mentioned for the application made after 2012 for the partner and not for the children. I just want to make sure that my understanding is correct that the 5 years does not apply for children at all? If so please if you can provide me a link to the ru...

Hi I will be applying for ILR via tier 2 general 5 years route next year. Arrived in UK February 2014. My daughter (over 18) came here April 2015, my question is can She apply at the same time with me? Or does the 5 years residence apply for tier 2 child dependant? Thanks

Re: PBS dependant over 18 applying for ILR

My job is on the shortage occupation list. They did mention in the rules proof of finances like payslips etc but nothing was mentioned about a maintaining balance and funds for dependant just like in tier 2 application, so i think there is none for ilr. Will do check the rules when time is near. Tha...

Re: ILR application - proof of accommodation

On section 5, it does ask whether we own rent etc. Would it have a negative impact if i put that we stay in the house of my boyfriend’s family? Would it seem that I could not afford to rent a place for us especially that i have to prove support for my daughter? I’m confused
