Re: ILR dependent English test requirement

Thanks, CR001, for the clarification. Indeed it was my mistake. Anyhow, I managed to book an English (EnglishCert-B1) test for next week. I was told by the testing centre that they would provide a provisional result on the day and the official result would be sent through post after three working da...

Re: ILR dependent English test requirement

You can only use an expired English test if it was used in a previous visa application. Tier 2 dependents did NOT have to meet the English requirement at all. So even if you submitted one, it would have been ignored as it was not required. You need to do a new test. Can you also confirm which form ...

This was a...

average waiting time for decision?

It is indeed frustrating when you're waiting that long my wife and son applied for their ILR in July 2022, and up to now, no decision. Also, were also surprised that we received an email on 12 December 2022 requiring us to submit further documents that were actually already submitted on the applicat...

Re: PBS dependent extension

Hello Farrukh,

We are on the same page, I have to redo filling the application for my wife and son.
Based on the previous threads here, you just have to put on the expiry date 3 years(2022) so that it will calculate with correct IHS fees.

So you're wife is the main application and child as dependent. Somewhere the form will ask about you and it is your previous tier 2 info you enter.
Yes, so does it mean that my wife can answer the above question in reference to my previous COS?

Re: Tier 2 dependent extension

No you won't have an 'option'. A PBS Dependent extension will be for 3 years, as clearly stated in the Immigration Rules. You cannot choose to apply for a lesser visa extension duration.

Thanks for prompt reply CR001. haaayz, I just thought I could save the 800£ for a year IHS fee.
