In my personal experience it's not a problem. It took a couple of months before I got biometric appt. I think it just depends on who is handling your case. I certainly learned that patience is the key. 9 months later I got my British Citizenship yesterday at a ceremony in Houston! Now for the passpo...

Hope this is my last query! My approval for citizenship was dated over 6 weeks ago but haven't heard from the Embassy yet. Can they go over the 12 week rule?

Just received my documents and acceptance letter!! Thank you to everyone on this forum for the answers to many questions. Just shy of 6 months, now awaiting citizenship ceremony and then apply for UK passport!! So excited to be a legal Brit!

I had an email saying the application had been received along with a reference number around the time it would have arrived in the UK from the USA. I messed up and didn't provide all my debit card details. I was contacted by email to provide the missing details. Thank you a_powers. I guess this whole process is a lesson in patience! I wanted to make a trip to the UK in April so was hoping for my passport back but guess I'll just have to sit back and wait. They acknowledged receipt on 11/1/18 so very early days!!

I have read all the timelines for UKM and notice that the 80 pounds is taken within a coupke of days before or after the acknowledgment email. My email was addressed in my previous married name which is concerning and no money taken yet. I checked the copy of my paperwork and realised i had left off...
