I think it is option 2.
If you apply for Ec in the new rules, you will get the visa for 3 years. Anyway we will hear from others too.

You have to submit seperate application forms for your spouse and kids. What all documents required are clearly explained in the link given by Anthopogon above. Visit that link to see the details.

You can have discontinuity in the 12 months. But the 12 months has to be consecutive. So you can show from Dec06 to Nov07 without including January07 or... If both of you are applying for EC together (in 2 application forms), you should say YES to this question. This is your case.

If your spouse is applying for EC after getting your EC approved, you may say NO here.

If you can get the letter as per the spec (see the first post), there is no need of going for IELTS.
Get the letter only for your graduation course (not for your post graduation.)

I didn't appear for IELTS.
MY HSMP application is approved.
Same is the case with majority of the people.

NARIC Letter is not mandatory if you have done a proper graduation course. I didn't attach NARIC letter while applying. Mine was approved.

You don't need a NARIC letter. Don't select 'Professional qualification' in hsmp form. Select only the acadamic qualification then NARIC is not required. Naric may take more than a month time. Hello, Thanks for the replies. I called up HO yesterday. They confirmed that my application is approved on 11th of April and documents are sent to me immediately after that. Also they added that they can send the approval letter again only after 12 weeks of decision. Need to wait for another 10 week...

@MSI GEEK Yes. There are many HSMP rejection. But there are lot many approvals too. I believe that if your documents are 100% perfect without any confusions, they will approve it without any further verification. Most of the cases, they go for verification if there is some confusion in the document....
