ILR - Is child needs to be present physicall in uk

Hi,

My friend is planning to apply for ILR (2 Adult + 3 Child). However, one of the child who is born in UK is not physically present in the UK. Is it legal to present the child's passport for ILR though she is not present in UK?
Can she enter UK with ILR granted as above later from abroad?

Thanks.

This is not a problem. It happend to me twice during bank holiday weekends at Dover port and when I was granted ILR 2 months back, it didn't create any problem. I didn't produce any tickets either.

Hi,

I applied for my visa extension in January even though my visa expires only at the end of april. I was granted visa yesterday for 3 years 2 months so I DIDNOT loose any leave because of early application.

Hope it clarifies. In my case it is 3 month early application.
