You might still have to change your Egyptian passport too though. HMRC is strict with people not have two different names/identities and British passport must match foreign passport.

It’s a 0300 number on letter. You need to tell them if you did not get your certificate. But they are not efficient on other enquiries

I've received a letter from my council confirming what they told me on the phone on Monday - it states they've received my naturalization certificate and in order to attend a ceremony, I would need the HO invitation letter. I’ve contacted Nottingham Council and they have just started the ceremonies this week.

No idea if they’ve received my certificate yet though!

No. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online. Your biometric appointment is irrelevant to this and age of documents.
