Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

Hi guys, the changes will come into effect on 6 July 2018. Please see link here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/changes-to-the-immigration-rules--2 I am purely speculating here. But why did the government chose 6th July as the implementation date? Does this have to do something with the fact th...

Did your employer suggested you an alternate for this?? . Mine has been applying for 3 months now and wont be willing to try the luck 4th time . No, they are in hurry, and they know that without increase the salary, there is no chance. I think they are not willing to increase it anyway. I trusted t...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

The cut off was always going to be 55 when we heard of more than one person at 55 points getting their’s exceptionally outside of the monthly quota. This has happened in previous months and means that not all of the 55 band were able to fit in the normal quota but there were less than 100 so they c...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

If you search google news for “skilled visa Uk” you will notice that there have been over 10 articles posted by various new agencies in the past 5 hours or so Ah I just did so, and some of the comments under them are super depressing, with lots of locals ranting against an influx of "cheap" foreign...

Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

Good luck for rest of the guys Did they mention the reason , was it due to points not meeting the minimum pts required in month or some other error in your application like labour market test If it is a refusal, it...

This from a solicitor's website Tier 2 General Cap Reached for the Fifth Time: Applications submitted by April 5, 2018 for Restricted Certificates of Sponsorship (RCOS) where applicants were to be paid under GBP 50,000 have been refused unless they are PhD-level jobs, a role listed on the recognised...

Re: April 2018 Restricted COS

This whole thing is so frustrating. I wouldn't care so much if I was just sitting in a queue but at 30 points so many people will just jump in front month after month. The system is flawed, it's so disheartening :( I am sitting at 30 points myself. Ironic that the whole system allows high earners t...

Re: April 2018 Restricted COS

If they don't consider these 9 applicants under exceptional case, then all the 409 applicants have to be refused. "If they don't consider these 9 applicants under exceptional case, then all the 409 applicants have to be refused." - How do you know this? Having been in this situation since September...

Visa refused AGAIN! 34 points. Trying since December.
Seems like the HO is adamant on not finding a solution to this problem and will let it run on auto-pilot till the time 40-46 points become the norm. I have started to feel that people in 30s might never get approval at all. :(

Wondering why HO is taking so long to publish their results for March. Probably, they are already in the Easter weekend mode 8)

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

My company is applying for me for the 1st time with 30 points. Based on last few months' allocation, I don't have any expectations of approval for this month. The lawyer firm has already told me that there are no chances for this month, but they are hopeful in April. Hope that home office clears the...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

The rule is as follows: 29.1 All CoS, restricted or unrestricted, must be assigned within 6 months of the date the vacancy was first advertised. Where the vacancy has been advertised in 2 stages, the CoS must be assigned within 6 months of the date the first of the 2 advertisements appeared. So, rea...
