Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hey

I am waiting since early December (applied on 4th December) and haven’t heard anything yet. Neither home office told me that my case is complicated after multiple chasing emails.

So something around 4-5 months!

Can I ask anyone in hear if they have received theirs in the past 2 weeks!

Has anyone heard from Home office? I have started thinking they aren’t issuing any TD at the moment. Today I have been waiting for 86 days!

Thanks

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hey, I think if you used to have a Blue TD then you would apply for a Blue one. I didn’t send my original BRP as it says in the form as it is the only original document I have to prove my ID. If you do it online the system will give you a checklist. Just stick to the list and send nothing more. Good...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hey,

If you applied by post the 70 days from the day they have received your documents.
If online then 70 working days starts from the day they have received your supportive documents.

I am early December and still waiting, let’s hope you get yours in 70 working days.

Good luck

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hi everyone, Thank you for sharing your experiences. I recieved my ILR just before the New Year. I waited 7 months since I applied. Absolutely frustrated to realise that I had to apply for a new TD separately. Five years ago when I applied for my first TD, it took almost a year. Also shocked that I...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hie, I did actually chase up my application with the a total of 3 times since I applied. I kept getting told that some applications are more complex than others.. and obviously they won’t reveal what the actual complex issues surrounding my application where.. I’m very frustrated right now, like af...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

@sue... I am more or less in the same situation applied for a renewal on 6th December and still waiting. I chased home office by email and phone. Unfortunately they won’t give you enough information as to when your TD will be issued! The email template is a general one repeating what’s been said in ...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hi Kashukhan, Did you apply online and then send your documents in post on the second of December? The 2nd of December is a Saturday so I am assuming they got your documents on the 4th December. I applied on 4th December online and supporting documents sent to Home Office on 6th December but I am st...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hey Moka, Although you made application online on the 22nd the Home office received your supportive documents on the 28th Dec so your 70 working days timeline starts from the 28th not the 22nd. Please bear in mind HO has got a backlog and I doubt it you would be able to receive your TD before March/...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Please note the processing time is supposed to be 70 workings days not 70 genral days (i.e don’t include the weekends and bank holiday). It appears we all have been waiting more than 70 working days recently. They are still considering applications received in November so I reckon application sent i...
