Re: Citizenship for my wife

You don't have to send your documents.
British citizenship is acquired by self merit. So only her documents are necessary and maybe some proof that you are indeed British.
Also be aware that payslips, bills HR letters are not government letters. Try HMRC, P60, P45, Council Tax letters, NHS etc.

Yes, you need the visa to enter, but for now, your son doesn't.

Re: Had my son’s application cancelled because he’s an EU citizen

Hi, Norway has an agreement that allows its citizens free movement he doesn't need any visa to come to the UK, the UK hasn't left the EU yet and no one knows if October 31 will be the last day EU citizens can enter the UK without a visa. Don't create more unnecessary problems or stress for you. Once...

Re: countersignature

The countersignature needs to be done by a British or Irish(paper application only) citizen and work in one of those professions:
https://www.gov.uk/countersigning-passp ... ignatories

I don't think any advocate can be a countersignatory.

As others said it doesn't matter. They need the email just so they can send the link for them to add their details and confirm your identity.

Re: Clarification of some Referee Professions

Hi,

When it says Director/Manager/Personnel officer of a VAT registered company is the person that when you search at companies house it shows the person role as a Director etc.
I would say the one for limited company is the same thing.

Re: BC for Self employed documents , and divorce

Hi, I've applied being self-employed. I've printed all my self-assessments, but it would be good if she could also use like council tax bills, or letters from the HMRC or NHS. Note that being employed is not a requirement for BC, but you can use P60 and self-assessment to help prove residency. Than...

Re: Help — Can an EEA National travel with registration certificate??

My husband is in the same situation, his Italian passport is expired and he is still waiting for his AIRE to finalize(God knows if they will stick with the 6 months). So I was wondering the same thing if he could enter with his non-Eu passport and his PR certificate. If you find an answer would be ...

Re: NI contribution statement for proof of residency

Hi, do you have your council tax bills from this period? You could also ask previous employers from the period to write a letter stating he was working with them in that period.
I've asked for my Nin contribution letter but it did take at least a month to arrive.

Re: Family member of Union citizen expired passport upload

Hi,
I don't think you need to send it, I sent it because my family permit and residence visa were there and just in case they wanted to see, even though they didn't ask for it.
You just need to send what they ask in your checklist.

You can always ask your document back. I've got a new job while HO had my documents, I just asked it back with urgency and a few days later it was returned without harming my process.

Council Tax Bill as proof of residency

Hi All,

I've been gathering documents to submit as proof of residency and as I didn't work for a period of the 5 years, I was wondering if Council Tax bill would count as a government correspondence or something like that.
What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Other advantages when using JCAP: you do not need referees for your passport application and you do not attend an interview.
That is good to know!
