Re: Travel document maximum stay abroad

It is definitely not advisable to travel and stay for long abroad if you're still looking to retain/maintain your status here in the UK. The document allows you to visit other countries for up to 3 months or less at any one time on a trip abroad. You should also be mindful of the amount of days you'...

Re: Refugee (Blue) Travel Document

I flew Ryanair to Italy from Stansted airport and British airways back to London city airport with a friend on the same document with no issues at all. I have also used the document on a cruise ship from Finland to Sweden hassle free with friends. I reckon it's fine to use on cruises so long as you ...

Re: Refugee (Blue) Travel Document

Oh yes, he most definitely can apply to America and any of those other countries on his document. I have applied for a U.S visitor visa and was issued, which was valid for 2 years and actually just renewed another U.S visitor visa again last month for another 2 years. I have also visited Italy but h...

Re: I lost my home office travel document abroad.

According to a home office guideline I saw, you'll have to apply to the nearest British consulate for a single entry document or pass from wherever you are to facilitate your departure from where you are and to be allowed into the UK upon arrival. Upon arrival, you then can apply for a new document.

Re: Refugee citizenship

I am currently a refugee. Granted refugee status in May 2013, got ILR last year July and just applied for naturalisation last month. Will definitely post any update on here once I hear from the Home Office.

Re: SRU - Revocation of British Citizenship

The main baffling question is why apply for naturalisation in the first place when you clearly didn't really intend to get a British passport anytime soon?! You could have even easily applied for one upon your return to UK in April 2016. Sure will make anyone question your future intentions for appl...

Re: Home Office Convention Travel Document (CTD) after becoming a British citizen

May I ask how long your naturalisation applications took to process pls? Cos I saw a thread saying refugee naturalisation applications tend to take longer than usual to process and get approval. I submitted mine 15th of July last month.

Re: Home Office Convention Travel Document (CTD) after becoming a British citizen

This thread is simply amazing and sooo helpful. I just submitted my British citizenship application and hopefully waiting to get approval. I've literally been so worried if my current home office travel document is enough to apply for a British passport and how to go about getting my national passpo...

Re: Naturalisation and travel document

Any other way? Hi Saama I just applied for naturalisation after 12 months on ILR(refugee). How was the proce...
