Be careful. There are 3 types of documents 1) birth, marriage, death, all need to come from civil authorities with their watermark/chop/seal/etc. NO COPIES ALLOWED 2) your/your parent/your grandparent photo ID like passport is a copy that needs to be notarized 3) utilities, bank statement, and stuff ...

Can you post the language used? I am trying to learn what the various phrases may signify. Did you ask for a status? Or did this "advanced stage" status come unsolicited? Post your timeline; how long after they got your documents/application did you move to ""advanced stage""?
