Re: Document checklist for newborn baby's 1st Irish passport

Hi,

I recently did this and I'm still waiting for my baby's passport. It's been over the 34 day recommended timeline. It's been about 45 days so far and still counting.

Re: Witness for child passport (consent of parents)

I recently applied for my sons passport and we got the Garda to witness our signatures. However our doctor also said he would witness them. Maybe try getting your local GP to witness your signatures.

Short Term Visa (C) for Residency 3 Year Requirement

Good Afternoon All, As the title suggest, can you use your short term visit visa or stamp c as part of the 3 year residency requirement? I used the INIS Residency checker and added this is as the oldest stamp and put it down as stamp C and it is showing that they'll accept that. I know that it would...

Any Australians applying for Naturalisation

Hi All,

I'm just curious if there are any fellow Australians that are currently in the process off or have applied for Naturalisation that would like to share there journey so far? I had a look on the INIS site and we seem to be a minority group when it comes to applying for/gaining Citizenship.

Re: Naturalisation through Irish marriage

Thanks Ry22 was thinking of applying early as I had read that it could take a year for a decision. Guess I’ll have to sit on the application and wait for next year to role around.

Re: Irish Citizenship through marriage, what documents should I include in the application?

Seems I’ll be doing the same thing. Was thinking of applying earlier as I’d read that it could a year for a decision. But it’s apparently better to wait until the 3 years residency has passed as most applications based of Irish associations or Irish marriage get rejected due to the residency. :(

I want to apply for Naturalisation I’ve been married for 4 years now and we have a son together who is an Irish citizen also. Has anyone applied before the 3 years...
