Because the definition of immigration as I pointed out is "the action of coming to live *permanently* in a foreign country". All the applications I've made in the past are for visa (leave to enter and temporary leave to remain) which are in nature not permanent unlike say ILR.

Hi all, I am not entirely sure on how to fill in the following two questions. Immigration's definition is "the action of coming to live *permanently* in a foreign country."
