Re: Paying for ID check, Pre settlement for my newborn

Yeah, after booking an appointment i realized they were free slots. Either way we needed to do it quick because we need to travel so there was no option.

Cheers!

Paying for ID check, Pre settlement for my newborn

I was doing the pre settlement application for my newborn (we live in the uk, we hold pre settle status already) , the only ID we currently hold for her is a Uruguayan passport so we need to book an appointment for ID check and biometrics. I was surprised to see we have to pay for that. Am I doing s...

Re: Newborn and border crossing without pre settlement status

Well that is not very feasible. Applying for a FP from Uruguay (past experience with a EU FP) takes at least 3 or 4 months AND I would have to lose control of my daughters only passport/id, so i would have to apply for a uruguayan national id card for her and special permits because the Biometric ap...

Re: Apply eea family permit

You can apply for a Family Permit from outside the UK, if you are married and you can prove that you are and live together i think the application is hopefully straightforward. In my case it took something like 45 days from the day I submitted the docs and got my passport back with the UK entry clea...

Re: Non EEA Right to work with Family Permit

My case is very similar to yours. I had a lot of trouble with proving my right to work without the residence card. I'm not really sure you partner (non eea) has a right to work, but even then proving it will be difficult. People are afraid of hiring someone that doesn't have a clear proof of a right...

Re: EEA unmarried partner application

About pictures what we did was print one picture for each year (we where presenting a 10+ year relationship) so if yours is much shorter i would print one for every 3 month period. One picture per page in colour, with a footnote explaining who are the people in the photo (ex: on the left XX , on the...

Re: Extended Family Member, Special Case

I did an extended family application and obtained temp residence not long ago. I would recommend following strictly official laws and regulations. As i understand if you are here legally i would recommend to wait for the 2 years (get all the evidence you can, read the operations manual for the immig...

Re: About EEA National and Extended Family Member Registration

Hi, Just to leave a record, a finally got my residence card (work permitted), BUT i lost my job! For me is not a very big issue, but certainly is an inconvenience because I really liked that job. In my case i would blame my employer for not being able to read and understand the law and the HO seems ...

Re: Family permit form - query

hi, I made that application some time ago. I will answer from my experience and of course I'm not an expert (but i managed to get to the UK without any prof. advice on this matters. 1) The question is pretty straight forward, is asking if you have any kind of visa or residence in any EEA country. Ju...

First of all thanks for the replies obie and secret, simon ! The two possible explanations for NOT extending a right to work in the COA where: 1. The applicant is the unmarried partner or an extended family member of an EU citizen who is exercising European free movement rights in the UK. For this po...

Re: Needing help to book for appointment (Italian Consulate)

Italian booking for consulate is hard, but not impossible. You have to put an alarm in your phone and connect every day at the posting of the new "tickets". You can use if you want multiple devices, provided they don't use the same ip (the same Internet connection). Maybe you can use your phone or t...

Re: EEA unmarried partner application

My situation is not the exactly the same, i'm in UK on a Family Permit. From the date of the arrival of the documents to the HO sent for the EEA QP registration, to the day i received a letter asking for biometrics was 5 working days (pretty fast). Now waiting for the next step. Hope this helps, but...

Hi, Let me explain my situation quickly then the question. My partner is EEA National, we lived in Uruguay (both Uruguayans also) with our son. My partner gets offered job in the UK. Re: EEA National passport certified copy for EEA Family Permit

i can only tell you what we finally did. We had the same issue, lack of time. We went personally to the consulate explained our situation, they didn't offered the service of certified copy of passport (not by lack of time, they just didn't do that kind of thing). What they did gave us was a document...

Hi ENM, I did an application FP as an umarried partner of an italian citizen. A few questions: 1) What else must I do to ensure this application goes smoothly? Read the application guidelines and follow them strictly. Read them carefully do not take anything for granted. Do it online. 2) Would it he...
