Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me. I submitted my online application for naturalisation today and have my appointment for biometrics and the online docs upload on Monday 9th December. Does HO consider the application date as today 4th December or Monday 9th when I submit my biometrics? Thanks...

Re: Naturalisation- on 10 years route

I am ready for naturalization. I got my ILR in Sep 2018 on 10 year route. I have 2 questions. 1) Do I need to provide Like in UK again. As I provided this for my ILR not really sure if home office sent me back my Like in UK? YES. you need to submit the same LITUK certificate you did for your natura...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Take the "you will be contacted by post within 21 working days" response with a pinch of salt. I got this in September, after 30 working days emailed to find out what was going on.. and was told "there is/was no communication to be sent" which baffles me. I have made a decision t...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Does 10 year Long Residence application take so much longer than normal for HO to process? I feel like just looking at general timeline on this board, Refugee is the slowest, then 10 year LR (not married to BC), and the quickest seem to be 5 year route and married to BC.   Imp...

Re: Overstayed and application for British Citizenship

You probably already know an application before June 2020 will most likely be refused for good character (supposing that is the only issue when you make the application). An application now will surely attract questions about how you supported yourself between 2005 to June 2010.

It should ask you on the next page Thanks for your answers. I don't see any place where they ask the passport number for Referee: Please see the screenshot below: One of my friends is also saying that she needs a passport number for Referee. But I couldn't find where to enter it. Or am I entering th...

They are additional scans of you passport that are done at your appointment by the UKVCAS agent. Definitely do not delete them! This guy was out for 98 days in the final qualifying year but was still approved. I guess as Zimba says its up to the case worker and probably also how far out of the 90 days you are. Thanks Zimba/Zerubbabel Have gone through the link for absence >90days during last 12months, it's clearly mentioned ...

Re: BC - EU national with a 6 month gap in proof of residence

There are quite a few other documents the home office may accept according to table of 'preferred' documentation in this annex. Down the list there is even a tenancy agreement or annual bank statement showing regular payments and spending in the UK, a council tax bill etc. That said I am not sure as...

Yes you can use a UK photocard driving licence as proof of Address.

Every taxpayer in the UK has a unique tax reference (UTR) number irrespective of whether you are self employed or employed by a company.

You can also find this number on HMRC's online services portal after you signup and login.

Re: ILR Long Residence

Do you know the exact wording of the letter your solicitor received on the 07/09/2013? From the looks of it it appears a decision had been made on the application you made on 06/08/2013 (irrespective of whether it was for Tier 1 or varied to Tier 4) and that decision was not to grant the visa. It is...

Re: ILR Long Residence

It is really confusing what happened between 06/08/2013 and 20/05/2014. There is a huge difference between withdrawing an application then applying for a new one in a different category and varying a pending application. You made an in time application to switch to Tier 1 on 06/08/2013. On what date...
