However, I have plan to travel to Thailand from India with my Indian friends, and to come back to India from there, and then after few days return back to UK. Re: British citizenship for child of a person (british citizen) born in Kenya in 1939

Yes that's what I think too but there are quite a few different rules so wasn't sure. I have looked at this post from secret.simon which I find quite informative and related to my question. https://www.immigrationboards.com/general-uk-immigration-forum/british-overseas-citizen-kenya-t247961.html ...

British citizenship for child of a person (british citizen) born in Kenya in 1939

I am asking this question on behalf of a close friend, who is an Indian national. My friend's father was born in 1939 in Kericho, Kenya. His father went to India in 1970 to take care of his elderly parents and then just stayed there in India until 2007. He had British Citizenship (not sure if it ...

Re: Quick question re document required for settled status of parent for MN1

You could have registered him as soon as you got ILR in 2015. You will need to send evidence of your ILR as well. Yes I could have. I must have read wrong information somewhere that I could only do so after my British Citizenship. Anyways hopefully all gets sorted now without any issues. I will ...

Re: Quick question re document required for settled status of parent for MN1

Do you still have your BRP card proving ILR?? If not, do you have evidence of it in the form of certified copy? This is the 'evidence of settled status' that HO will likely want to see. Why have you waited so long to register your child? No, I don't have my ILR BRP but I do have letter from Home ...

Quick question re document required for settled status of parent for MN1

" If the child told us that their parent is settled in the UK then you must provide us evidence of their settled status. This could include a BRP, a letter from Home Office, an endorsement in their passport or another document certifying permanent residence." I am a British Citizen now. I am going ...

Re: NCS stopped jcap - I am applying online but is there JCAP option still available?

NCS stopped jcap - I am applying online but is there JCAP option still available?

I am applying for my child for registration of British Citizenship using MN1 Form. I looked at my local NCS service but they seem to have stopped taking JCAP applications. I've taken a look at online application and that doesn't seem to have any option either. Do you know if it's still possible as ...

Re: Spouse PBS Dependant (partner British Citizen now)

Thank you Vinny. I did take a look at that post before I posted my question. I believe this URL from that linked post is applicable in my case, specifically section "Dependants of PBS (Tier 1 General, Tier 2) migrants" https://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/dependants-of ...

British citizenship for a child born when parent had indefinite leave to remain

My son was born in Feb. 2015 and I became British Citizen in May 2015. I thought I could apply for British Citizenship now but after having looked here in the forums, it seems like I have to apply for Naturalisation first? or Is there a way to apply for British Passport directly because my child was ...
