Re: August 2018 restricted COS

I’ve been waiting since December 2017.

Approved with 39 points. I’m a Civil Engineer, not in a shortage position.

I’m very happy for everybody else. It’s been a few rough months. Just keep hope and keep smiling 😊

Re: Tier 2 supplementary work

I believe CR001 has given you all you need. You need to: a. Work in the same kind of job. Both are Software Development roles right? b. Work at the same level. Would the average person evaluate “Research Application Developer” and “Senior Developer” as the same level of position? In my own line of w...

Re: Studying while on T2G

You will be allowed to study. You need to make sure of two things though: 1. It is fine with your sponsor and does not interfere with your job. 2. Some specific fields of study might require an ATAS Certificate. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/academic-technology-approval-scheme I hope this helps. I wou...

You do realize that you raised a year+ old thread from the dead. Why?

Could a moderator please delete this as it’s clearly not of any use?

Re: Proof of Maintenance Funds for "A" rated sponsor?

This should have been discussed before your rcos application was submitted. The application contains a YES and NO box for maintenance. Even if YES, there is always the option to limit the amount to the minimum of 945. If NO, you obviously have to provide that amount for yourself. It’s always good so...

Re: August 2018 restricted COS

I agree with Krimurthy. If you take into account the additional number of applications available after the July changes, the number of applications that was stuck at 45 and that July reached 41, an August number of 30 to 35 is very likely. There will be additional applications from companies who hav...

Whilst I always have photos with me, the bio-metrics part of the visit always takes care of the photos in Visit Visas. I'm sure it will be the same regardless of Visa type.

Re: Tier 2 General English Knowledge

Hi Stompel, IELTS should be sufficient. Maybe someone else can confirm for us? In my own case I used my T.U.T B-Tech qualification and had it evaluated by UK NARIC. The qualification is equivalent to a UK Bachelor (Honors) and it is accepted that the qualification was taught using English as medium,...

Hi guys,

As this time 5th aug is a Sunday, so will the deadline be 3rd August or 6th August to submit the applications?
I am sure that the deadline for applications will be today, 3rd of August.

Always better being safe rather than sorry :)

Re: What are our options now?

I’ve just realised that our COS will expire on the weekend. What happens once this is expired? Will they then decline our visa application? I think most people here who have applied for RCOS in the past few months understand some of the difficulty you're going through. You think you've won by doing...

I am also waiting with 41 points. Do you know if anyone with 41 points is successful? We have had multiple confirmati...

Re: July 2018 restricted COS

Why is your visa expiring an issue?? You cant switch in country anyway. If your sponsor still wishes to employ you, nothing stops them from doing so if they can get RCoS approval. No. You can’t switch in country from a tier 5 visa, especially the Youth Mobility. You can apply for the CoS from anywh...

Re: July 2018 restricted COS

No, it doesn't cost anything to keep reapplying for rCOS There may however be costs involved if your employer uses a specialist consultant to deal with your application as a whole (visa included). And there will definitely be a cost to cover the salaries of the HR department dealing with your appli...

Has anyone with 40 recieved there rejection yet? Not as far as we know. 40 is still undeclared and shouldn't just be accepted as an automatic refusal. Let's hope the 150 or so people in 40 could be helped :) Each band we go down is closer to someone else's bracket. At the moment it's between 37 and...

Re: July 2018 restricted COS

Guys, we’re not only speculating but moving way off topic. Let’s not assume that not getting feedback is the result of someone not doing their job and lying about it. That’s pretty unreasonable and hopefully not reflective of how those people conduct themselves. There’s no way that we can rush the p...

Yea I too i'm hopeful that it clears the 40K mark. I am just not sure how they decide amongst the applicants with the same points? does it depend on how many months they've applied or does everyone get put back in the same pot and someone randomly selected. This is my second month applying so less ...

Please don’t derail with Visa and especially job questions, you can’t get help from this thread on either.

Is there any indication of when the official numbers will go up?
