I naturalised, what visa my wife needs

In this long immigration journey, I managed to become a British citizen. My wife broke her 5 year residency due to health problems in her family. Her last visa was a PBS dependant visa. It is expiring this October. She only needs one more year to be able to apply for an ILR. Which visa does she need...

Re: Left UK without BRP

Thanks.
Yes, we have a scan of the BRP.

Can we then go through via manned gates?

Left UK without BRP

We left UK for holidays and my wife left her BRP in the UK.

What can we do?
We are in a bit of a panic!!

and she has a USA passport -- doesn't normally need visa.. Can she just enter the country? After all the BRP card is at home.

Biometric appointment availability

I am applying for naturalisation next week in London. I was wondering how the availability is for the biometric appointments these days in and around London. My schedule is pretty hectic and it’d help me a lot to have some idea.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

My wife was one of the luck ones that was selected not to attend the ukvcas biometric appointment. They'll use her previous fingerprints and she is supposed to give a picture online somewhat. But after the initial email telling us she was selected, we haven't heard anything from the Home Office. Has...

Re: Child born in UK: naturalisation form question

I am sorry, it is not clear to me.
We are married, living together.
We are including the birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Do we need anything else to prove our individual parental responsibilities?

Child born in UK: naturalisation form question

So I am applying for the naturalisation of my UK-born toddler.
All is good. But:
they are asking for a "proof of [dad/mom]'s parental responsibility for [the baby]".

what is it?

I am married to my kid's mother. Apart from the Birth Certificate of the baby, what can I provide?

Can you tell me what is the start date of your ILR card, when you applied before the lockdown?

The date of your biometrics or the date you submitted your application?

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I have attended my biometrics appointment at croydon yesterday 16/6 morning for ILR SET O 5 year route. I paid for super priority and unfortunately and sadly did not get a decision or any correspondence until now. I am extremely stressed about it as it seems more people are posting that they got a ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied for ILR early March using the Super priority service. After one cancellation and 2 postponements I attended an appointment yesterday and I have received home office's decision letter :D . I hope this helps to settle some nerves. All the best. Wauw, great! Congratulations! May I ask what T...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Remember only handful UKVCAS locations are open. That means much less people are giving biometrics. Even if millions have applied super priority during lockdown they will have to wait for biometrics. So the pressure is on UKVCAS not on UKVI. In my reasoning there is no reason why UKVI would delay s...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I’d like to know if super-priorities are honoured now postpandemic. I applied before the lockdown, got an appointment for early June? I am curious how long it will take till I hear from HO after my biometrics.

Re: MN1 references

Thank you very much.

Yes, I am aware, I need to wait for the card. In the online application system, I am just stuck at that stage where I am supposed to enter my ILR card number :))

But, I'd like to be prepared.

MN1 references

Hello, I am [hopefull] about the apply for my ILR. Based on my ILR, I will register my UK-born toddler as a citizen using the MN1 form. Covid delayed all our plans, so I seriously need to apply for him as quickly as I can. I am applying online for the baby. One thing I am not sure is the references....

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I’m going to choose to believe this, to prevent myself from having a mental breakdown lol Stragenly, few hours ago, I got an email from them, giving me priority access. Indeed I managed to book for Victoria for the 10th. My initial [quadruply delayed] appointment was for 16th of June - Croydon. So ...

They will let people in phases to access it. So no need to panic just yet :)

It was 2nd April before the lockdown. When was yours'?
I applied as a standard customer.
It was late March, right when the lockdown started. If it was couple hourse earlier, I could've made it!

I applied as super-priority, unfortunately.

My previously scheduled appointment for 18th June also disappeared. But, I recieved an email yesterday evening asking that I have been identified as a customer to be given access to the booking system in the first phase of reopening. When I logged into the booking system, all dates were available f...
