Moving to GERMANY as an EU citizen with a German spouse

:) Hello everyone I just need some information on moving to Germany as an EU citizen myself and my German spouse. 1) Do I need to register myself once in Germany and with who? 2) Do I need to take out health insurance before moving to Germany or is there some special agreement between EU countries? ...

Britain has almost twice the amount of people than Canada, yet Canada is twice the size of the whole European Union. No wonder Canada allows more migrants whereas the Uk can really do with less.

With all do respect.... Canada is a BIG COUNTRY (more than twice the size of the European Union!) Yet Canada got only 34 million people living there, whereas the European Union has 501,064,211 people. No wonder Europe don't want any more migrants, the houses in Europe are also way smaller than Canad...

I think part of the problem is inherent to any treaty...some countries are going to have more burden in enforcing it than others. The UK is a desirable country to reside for a lot of people, whereas some smaller countries are less desirable for the time being. What does that mean? . The main reason...

More info from HO after I already got British citizenship

Hi everyone. I recently (September) naturalised as a British citizen and applied for my first British passport end of September. Today almost 6 weeks later I got a letter (dated 4th of November) from the Home Office asking for the following: "In Order to fight the increasing thread of identity fraud...

To qualify for return of the COA fee, you will need to submit, in original form: • Evidence of your identity (e.g. current passport, or photo driving licence, or identity card), AND • (a) evidence (e.g. a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) letter confirming payment of the benefit, or (until ...

Surely this law is illegal?

It's either everyone get their money back or nobody gets their money back. You shouldn't need to prove anything, if money is due to you it's due to you regardless if you were in financial difficulty or not.

Changes to the Certificate of Approval Scheme 09 April 2009 With effect from 9 April 2009 the UK Border Agency is suspending the fee for Certificate of Approval applications. This means that individuals making an application for a Certificate of Approval on or after this date will not be required t...

Expired passport/ applying for Naturalisation

A friend of mine's passport has expired, he is on ILR.
He is going to apply for naturalisation.
My question is, can he apply for naturalisation on his expired passport?
He is in the process of renewing his expired passport but it might take up to 3 months to process.

As far as I know it's 90 days visa free travel within the Schengen Zone within a 6 months (180 day) period. So meaning you can't just leave the Schengen zone for one day and come back the next day if you have already stayed more than 3 months. You will have to wait until 6 monts expires before given...

Hi to everyone. A few questions.... I am about to apply for Naturalisation and need some more information, that I can't find in the Naturalisation Guide on the UK Border Agency's webpage. 1) The first question is regarding my current passport. Not to be funny but my home country also checks every tourist return flight ticket. So I don't think the Uk is unique in that situation.

It is basically just to check that you have a return flight home.

Surely people that have paid for the COA should now get compensation?

I mean the whole COA is unlawful, why should people ask permission to the HO to get married? Surely a British person is free to marry who they like or not?? What about all the other couples that had to pay £295 for a COA??

I agree there are far better places in the world to immigrate to than the Uk. If you consider the amount of taxes you pay here in the UK compared to other desirable destination like Canada, Australia, New Zealand even Dubai and others the Uk certainly take alot more of your hard earn cash. If you ta...
